Are we talking the FSM heaven with a beer volcano and strippers?
It might be a fair trade.

People tend to experience horrible deaths more than we care to admit. It's the lucky person indeed who dies in his sleep without any prior suffering.
So, IF I had to endure crucifixion, which, while nasty, only lasts part of a day, in order to get a guaranteed seat "at the right hand of God" for all eternity as compensation, I'd consider it a sure bet.
Only one more reason why the story of Jesus seems dubious.

Some of the apostles did end up dying that way. If that is the death that the Lord chooses for me, if that is the price that I have to pay for not denying his name on this earth, then, Lord willing, he will give me the strength to do it.
Needless to say I am not going to be jumping at the chance to do it. Even the Lord Jesus sweat blood at the thought of what was about to happen to him on that cross.

I would to save a heathen like you. It is not about heaven, it is about the King of Israel coming to restore His Kingdom here on earth. Shalom.

Sure. Especially if the alternative is hell. It's simple math. A day or two of horrible pain is preferable to an eternity of horrible pain.

well the act of crucifixtion generally isn't a voluntary act except
in the case of Jesus...
so if someone would actually get me up on a cross and nail me to it..thats the way it goes...

That depends on how real the chances are that I'd suffer unbearably for all eternity if I don't.

My first thought is "probably not", but I can't honestly tell you what I'd decide without being immediately in that situation. Sorry.
