if i have a restrainig order and i get pulled over and get arrested for violating a protective order, do i still have a case?

A case against what? The officer can only charge you with violating the ordr if you truly are violating whats spelled out in the order itself. You cannot be arrested for breaking an order itself but whats actually the main reason for the order like being within 50 feet of your girlfriend when the order clearly spells out 500 ft. Now you can be arrested on other charges than the order itself unless evidence later proves otherwise. Hope this helps

In most states a restraining order and a protective order are the same thing.
If you are in violation of any court order.even if the orders contradict each other, you have no case against the officer or the validity of the arrest. The officer is enforcing a court order, that is one of their jobs.
You cannot sue the judge for the order. You can straighten the conflicting orders out with the judges.
If it is found that anything you said to get the protective order was untrue you can be charged with perjury.
