Initially yes it does work, so long as you follow the directions. But what you need is reconstructive formula, not anything from shampoo/conditioner, but the real stuff. easy to get in a salon. i'd suggest getting a fresh hair cut, get rid of all the really busted hair, then fix the rest.

sounds like you need a cut
than you need to take better care of you hair
good products do work try the s-factor line from tigi it makes my hair look good and mine is bleached out and looks like straw if i let it air dry
so i use their shamp and cond
the smoothing serum and the flat iron spray
it will cost a lot but is worth it and i don't shampoo everyday i let the style stay for two or three days.

well most and many recontructive shampoo/conditioner just makes your hair soft and clots the cuticle of the hairs for a few weeks, but eventually washes out, so they dont really repair anything. the only repairing shampoo and conditioner is biolustre...check it out, i promise if you read up on it and use it youll be impressed

I believe I read a Consumer Reports article a few months ago that indicated most shampoos are about the same. You might want to see a dermatologist.

I think it does. You might try asking a beautician? But, I just use cheap stuff and it seems to fluff up MY hair. Good luck!
