Working at retirement home. would it be a good thing to mention if...?

... my grandad was living there? its not a shady place or anything, im just wondering if it would be like a conflict of interest, or if it would actually score me some points.

It wouldnt be a conflict of interest but they may wonder if you will keep business separate from family. What goes on at work may not be appropriate to share with your family. I would think this would deter them from hiring you rather than help you get hired

if nothing else, you'll at least be able to visit him and make sure he isn't being mistreated - theres no conflict of interest
