yes, very normal.
Go to your local health food store or pharmacy if they have health foods to get whole Flax seeds.
actually if you buy them fresh, keep them in the fridge.
You should buy a grinder and grind them a little at a time, you will digest them better .

Not heard of people gaining weight on chemo, but it seriously messes with body chemistry so it makes sense.

You can buy ground flax seed meal at the grocery store. It'll probably be with the whole grain flour.
If you want whole flax seed, or flax seed oil, check a health food store.

it is not uncommon to gain weight with chemotherapy these days, mostly because they give you a lot of steroids to minimize the effects of the chemo.
