My witness friend seems dumbfounded every time she sees how happy I am in my relationship with God despite the fact that I don't pay hommage to the Watchtower Society.

There is no happiness in a works base religion, Which is what the /Witnesses have. I have found much happiness in worship outside of the confines of the stifling Kingdom Halls.

I'm not sure if you are really looking for an answer, given the fact that you previous question was not a question at all...neither is this one...more like an opinion piece formed with a ? at the end of it.

I don't know you, but you seem to really have it out for Witnesses and ask questions and post negative answers. Are you sure this friend is a witness? Because even IF it wasn't religious-based, i'd not be a friend to anyone who was always putting me down.

If you are so happy in your relationship with God, why are you asking/answering so many JW questions.

They call that stalking, not happiness.

No. The word "Watchtower Society" is a term for our printing and legal things.

Being a JW is being part of an organzation that Jehovah has in place. The Almighty God! Therefore it is vital to have an active part of it. Religion in of itself is something man has made. If there were no other religions, there would be no reason for us to address ourselves as JWs, but we must to make ourselves different from the other false religions. The most important thing is that we live our life according to the Bible as Jehovah wants us to do.

You have to live your life according to the Bible as close as possible. There are so many things that people just flat out do not understand. Revelation for example, how do you feel about the book for Revelation? Most people find this book of the Bible scary. Rather, in fact, it is not! It is about an exciting times! A time for hope. Nothing to be scared of at all.

Do we put ourselves above other people? No... But you are the one that asked the question, and Im just trying to answer it. We are some of the most humble people you will meet? We put ourselves out in the world and knock on strangers doors. We get yelled at, spoken harshly of, yet we continue to do this because it is a command. How can someone have a TRULY rewarding life if they don't TRULY understand the Bible. Even if they feel they do, most of the time, they do not. If they did, they would seek out Jehovahs people, understanding that we live our life according to the Bible, the best we can. We know we are not perfect and do not claim it. But we DO TRY OUR Best! We are honest, caring, loving people... We do what Jesus commanded us to preach. Do you go door to door and preach? This is something Jesus said we MUST do. And then even at that, preaching is not all there is to that scripture. We are to help people come to an accurate knowledge.. Make disciples Jesus said. So granted there might be a few other people out there that do their version of "preaching" but it has conditions. They go for a certain period of time, or only men go... Yet, Jehovahs people are the ONLY ones that announce Gods Kingdom as being man hope for the future. No other religion gets out there and preaches this. Therefore with that one scripture most do not understand or apply the Bible in their lives the way it should.

All of this leads to this question. Do the Witnesses believe that their religion is the only right one?
Anyone who is serious about his religion should think that it is the right one. Otherwise, why would he or she be involved in it? Christians are admonished: "Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine." (1 Thessalonians 5:21) A person should make sure that his beliefs can be supported by the Scriptures, for there is only one true faith. Ephesians 4:5 confirms this, mentioning "one Lord, one faith, one baptism." Jesus did not agree with the modern, relaxed view that there are many roads, many religions, all leading to salvation. Instead, he said: "Narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it." Jehovah's Witnesses believe that they have found it. Otherwise, they would look for another religion.—Matthew 7:14.

Do we believe that we are the only ones who will be saved?
No. Millions that have lived in centuries past and who were not Jehovah's Witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life. Many now living may yet take a stand for truth and righteousness before the "great tribulation," and they will gain salvation. Moreover, Jesus said that we should not be judging one another. We look at the outward appearance; God looks at the heart. He sees accurately and judges mercifully. He has committed judgment into Jesus' hands, not ours.—Matthew 7:1-5; 24:21; 25:31

If you want better answers, you have to ask better questions. Like honest ones without biased words.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that a rewarding Christian life is lived by serving Jehovah God and by following the loyal example of his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me."

Some people may consider that to be elitist and exclusionary, but that's the way it is.

The thing is, there is no "Christian life" apart from obeying the Lord Jesus Christ.

That is what Jehovah's Witnesses try to do. Not just give lip service to Jesus, but to obey him.

And you do not understand that no JW pays "Homage" to the Watchtower Society. It is only a legal corporation used mainly for printing publications.

Pleasing Jehovah has little to do with any corporation but everything to do with following His Word, the Bible.

I am happy you are happy. It will be up to Jehovah how long that happiness will continue, not us. We are concerned with the next couple thousand years of our lives. By living our lives in harmony with what Jehovah wants, it is a realistic concern as only His power can give us life.

Haven't you heard that ignorance is bliss? Most religious people never attend church or even know what they do is displeasing to God. Sex out of marriage, stealing from work, cheating on taxes, envious ( covetousness) of all your neighbors. Materialistic, paganistic. Of course they are happy. They have no one to answer to.

On the other hand Jehovah's Witnesses are to be sober-minded and holy as God is holy. They take seriously their task of bringing the good news to the world of mankind.
This is not to say they don't have joy.
God is a happy God and wants his servants to excel in happiness .

We have a peace of mind that comes from being in a spiritual paradise. We know we are pleasing God.

And he tells us to keep our eyes on the prize...The prize of everlasting life in paradise where all our brothers and sisters will be and there will be no end to Jehovah's love for us and us for Him.

I am so pleased to be a part of the Watchtower society and all that that entails. I want to stand firm against Satan and help vindicate Jehovah's name.

That is why we make a dedication. To be a part of something far greater than ourselves. To worship the Sovereign of the Universe. The One True God, Jehovah.

There will be a new heavens and a new earth in which we will be exquisitely happy and find our joy in the abundance of peace.

Some of them probably think you will have a rewarding life. But all of them would prefer if you join them because they see themselves as "true" Christians.

Yes Debbie, sex out of marriage is fornication. In Acts 15:29...... blood is included with fornication. Is Jesus saying that both sins are forgiven or both sins are "You must die"??? No wonder other Christians have more hope than you.

Jehovah's Witnesses use many corporate and legal entities, a few of which have names similar to "Watchtower Society". Among nearly seven million active Jehovah's Witnesses, there are only a few thousand who are branch volunteers who might be understood to be "inside" one of these legal and corporate entities.

The overwhelming majority of adherents of the religion known as "the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses" have no ongoing connection with any of the many legal and corporate entities used by their religion. It is ignorant to pretend that they do, and reflects a pattern of disdain unworthy of an intelligent discussion of religion and religious life.

Setting aside that matter, it seems rather obvious that the bible itself describes the account of a Christian who performed rewarding Christian work even before he began associating with those who had a 'more correct' understanding of bible truth. Of course, such a Christian must correct himself when the evidence indicates he should. Like Priscilla and Aquila, Jehovah's Witnesses invite well-intentioned Christians to consider what the bible actually teaches.
...(Acts 18:24-26) Now a certain [ethnic] Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, an eloquent man, arrived in Ephesus; and he was well versed in the Scriptures. This man had been orally instructed in the way of Jehovah and, as he was aglow with the spirit, he went speaking and teaching with correctness the things about Jesus... And this man started to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him into their company and expounded the way of God more correctly to him.

Incidentally, it seems noteworthy that even an inexperienced Christian such as Apollos recognized the need to preach publicly. Jehovah's Witnesses are please to be so closely associated with the door to door ministry established by Christ, and recognize that such a global ministry requires organization to be fully accomplished.
...(Matthew 10:7,11,14) As you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.’ ...Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving... Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet.
...(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations
...(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
