Considering they were here for millions of years and the poor little things don't get a mention, I'm sure an angel or even God himself would of said "don't forget about those scaley critters", telling moses or jesus to tell the people of these mighty creatures that onced roamed the earth before them. Maybe even Noah telling him how hard it would have been if he had to put the dinosaurs on two by two. So how come no mention?

Some assert that Behemoth and Leviathan were figurative creatures. Whatever Behemoth was, it was something that was made along with man, "Look now at the behemoth, which I made along with you. . ." (Job. 40:15). This should be enough evidence that this creature is literal. As Genesis 1:24-31 teaches, all beasts and creeping things were made along with man on day six. Furthermore Behemoth eats grass like an ox (Job. 40:15)

Here's my take. The creation of the earth took millions of years and the "6 days" mentioned in Genesis may not have been 6 - 24 hour periods as can be easily misunderstood. It is mentioned that a day to the Lord is 1000 years, so the exact "timing" of a day is uncertain. Anyway, back to my point. I think that 6 "creative periods" is a better way of explaining the timing.
During one of those creative periods, dinosaurs may very well would have lived. In God's infinite wisdom, the dinosaurs had a purpose. Look how were are now exhuming fossil fuels and other resources from the "remains" of the dinosaurs and prehistoric plant matter. It would seem that God had a play for those things as well.
Since the creation in the Bible was recorded well after the existence of dinosaurs, and since the technological details and particulars of how the creation was accomplished is not specifically mentioned either, it comes as no surprise that specific animals like dinosaur is not mentioned.
And it is not really necessary to mention this either. We are here on earth to live by faith. If everything was laid out before us in intricate detail, it would not require us to have faith. It would be sure knowledge then. Gaining faith is one of the purposes of life.

Wikipedia definition (disambiguation): A dinosaur is a member of a largely extinct group of vertebrates.
The bible certainly does mention in the creation account 'great sea monsters', 'flying creatures', 'wild beast of the earth' etc (see Genesis chapter 1). Admittedly this is very general, and covers alot of other animals - but you will note that the word dinosaur was not coined until quite recently.
The bible must have had a higher source of inspiration, otherwise how could Moses (the penman of Genesis) have known the scientific order of life as accurately as was recorded in Genesis, e.g. light came before plants, plants came before animals etc?
As a side point, a creative 'day' does not necessarily mean 24 hours. Just as someone would say "in my mother's day", meaning an expanse of time - a creative day would of course be much much longer than just 24 hours...

Actually, they are. The word dinosaur is not there because the word was not created until the 1800's. However, an in-depth study of Job and historical evidence indicates that the "behemoth" was not an animal that is in existence today and would fit the description of a dinosaur. Many supporters of evolution have insisted that the behemoth was an elephant, hippo or some other common creature but as the source below shows, these assumptions do not fit the facts.

The word "dinosaur" is not found anywhere in the Bible. This is because the word "Dinosaur" was not invented until the mid 1800's. The "King James Bible" was translated into English in 1611. - So we would not expect to find the word "dinosaur."
Read Job 40:15-24 - the behemoth was a dinosaur.
The amazing thing is there is no evidence to support the belief that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. In fact, the physical evidence contradicts this very idea (contrary to what you may have been told, dinosaur bones are NOT carbon dated. They are "assigned" an age based on how old someone thinks they are, based upon the geologic column). Did you know that dinosaur bones that are carbon dated give dates of only a few thousand years old? - Not millions like evolutionists claim.
There was recently an Allosaurus bone (which is alleged to be 140 million years old) but it was carbon dated at only 16 thousand years old!

Dinosaurs ARE mentioned in the Bible, Dinosaur is simply a modern name for a 'dragon' which is not only mentioned in the Bible, but also in all cultures around the world. They are too universal in art and literature to be merely mythical creatures. In fact, the 'land of the dragon' China is a favourite hunting ground for evolutionists looking for dinosaur fossils. However, the locals there have been digging them up for centuries and selling them for medicinal purposes as 'dragon's bones'. They knew what they were, long before Western evolutionists decided they were something that they had just discovered. Just have a look at Chinese art and pottery, there are dragons there in abundance. Why are Darwinists so arrogant that they think people in the past knew nothing about dinosaurs? They are not a modern discovery, our ancestors knew about them, wrote about them, drew them, and in many instances saw them and fought with them, before they became exinct. It is obvious from historical evidence in literature, art and folklore that dinosaurs were contemporaneous with humans at some time in the past. The patron saint of England (St. George) is renowned for killing a dragon, and there are many other stories of dragons/dinosaurs terrorising villages and eventually being slain by heroic persons in the past. It was only when the evolution story was concocted that these stories suddenly became mere mythology. There are dragons mentioned in official documents England and other countries. Is it not strange that we choose to believe what such official historical documents say about other events, but reject what they say about dragons/dinosaurs simply because this does not fit in with the evolution story?

Bible and other other such Holy books contain only the very essential because of the lack of space to include everything.
It is now time for some us to issue supplements to the holy books. For example start with the idea of Dinosaurs. A supplement of , say 100 pages with colour photos and all that. These supplements should of course bear the stamp of the concerned clergies. Those good old boys who concocted the Holy books omitted to treat many important topics therein. Let us all contribute to correct the omission and if necessary some deletions also.

yes, apparently as has been pointed out already leviathan and behemoth were supposed to be enough to name the vast array of the thousands of different dinosaurs which allegedly roamed the earth during the time of adam and eve. so adam got lazy when he was naming all the animals and stopped at two. go figure. what do you expect?

there are only 6 chapters in scripture telling about the time before the flood. Dinosaurs were killed in the flood. (Except for a few deep water types--- See Kent Hovind) the earth is recent, There are about a dozen scientific reasons why the earth can't be many millions (let alone billions) of years old.

And no mention of kangaroos either, or duck-billed platypuses, or any new world monkeys. No orang-utans, giant pandas or Siberian tigers. No adders, hedgehogs.
Back to dinosaurs. There is a mention of some huge beast of burden of huge proportions, being domesticated for agricultural purposes, but nothing to indicate it was a reptile.
Any way, there is no mention of them because they died out a good 65 million years before the first modern humans. No man has ever seen one alive.

Creationists claim they are. Check out this lovely diorama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:CreationMuseum15.png ) in the Creation Museum (http://arstechnica.com/articles/culture/ars-takes-a-field-trip-the-creation-museum.ars ) showing Eve sitting in a very sexy frock next to an over sized velociraptor.
I also love the photo of a parent hoisting his child onto a saddled tricertops (http://media.arstechnica.com/news.media/400/526893292_e95eb57c10.jpg ).
