How does anyone REALLY know that all this stuff really exists?I have chosen to be Agnostic because I think that the whole "all-powerful-ruler-in-the-sky-that-noone-has-ever-seen-and-his-son-who-can-endure-things-that-noone-else-can" thing is a little too far fetched. Along with the fact that I think Christianity is too over represented. If there are many different Religions, then which one is correct? Of course a Christian would say his/her religion is the right one similar to how a football player will say his school is the best. How does anyone know that the bible isnt fictitious? I think Christianity was created by people, and for the purpose that humans need something to believe. Consider the fact that the "God" they worship can do everything that a normal human cant, yet, "we were created in his image"... a simple mind bender for this "God" is : Can God make a rock so heavy that even he cant lift it, even though he can do anything but fail?"

I sure hope so. I personally think everyone is an agnostic, since no one has 100% definitive proof of God one way or the other.

And to answer your question, which has been asked millions of times:

God can create a rock infinitely big.
God can lift an infinitely big rock.

Why don't you put the bible to the test? One thing that you must admit is that it is a good history book. To think about it as a book written by 40 some people over a period of 1600 years. The bible says that all scripture is inspired of God. 2 Timothy 3:16. If its not then you would think that you could find many of these men in opposition to each other, Right? Have you tested it from that standpoint? Or for example 3500 years ago the experts thought that the earth was flat, Flat Earth Theory. Read Isaiah 40:22 and ask yourself how this man knew it was round?
To learn about anything a person has to ask questions and allow the book to answer. Don't put your trust in the thoughts of man. Just look what your fellow man has done to the earth in the last 200 years?

I believe in the Bible because of the prophecies that have been fulfilled. Especially Daniel 2, where all of Western history was laid out in the time of Babylon. We have manuscripts dating back before the time that this could have been known.
I believe in Christianity because it has survived and thrived against all rational expectation. Anyone seeing Christianity in the time of Christ would have predicted the Roman and or Jewish leaders would crush it within a week of the death of Christ. Instead the Romans ended up converting. Why? Because the message of Christianity was so powerful that people would DIE for the right to believe it. Every place that missionaries go, the experience is the same. Some mission stories are, doubtless, exaggerated, but the Word of God goes faster and further than anyone would expect a philosophy to go in situations where it should be completely wiped out (the Church in China has quadrupled in the last 40 years) it thrives.
I also believe because I have seen God change lives and have felt him work in me from reading the Bible.

The problem with this sort of question is agreeing on what we mean when we use words like real. In one sense the bible is real. I have one on the shelf in this room. I can touch it and feel it but I don't think that is what the questioner wanted.
Similarly I think that there is a lot of evidence which points to the existence of Jesus of Nazareth. I know it can't be proved in the same way as if we had video footage but it is easily the most likely answer to questions about the origin of the stories about him. But does that mean that he did all the things that the bible claims. I don't know and I would be skeptical of anyone who said they did know.
It boils down in the end to what you are going to use as the basis of how you live your life. It is called faith. I will live my life on the assumption that Jesus of Nazareth existed and that in his life as described in the bible he opens a window for us through which we can see God. You might chose something else.
The only test I know is whether when you look around you see people that you know are Christians are living a life that you find attractive. It is an aweful repsonsibility that we carry.

Simple. Just look around you and think about how complex everything is. Do you seriously think that it came about by accident? When someone studies the origins of certain species of animal, is there ever an animal that is really one in between one species and another? Jesus Christ is Lord of all creation. He is the way, the truth and the light, he is the alpha and the omega, he is the first and the last, he is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, he is holy, mighty, merciful, loving, justified, he is the bright morning star, he died on the cross so that we could be forgiven of our sins, he is the holy messiah, he is Yeshua (Jesus), he is the holy son of God above. Praise the father, praise the son, praise the holy spirit. Halellujah! Praise the Lord!

The one who complained about the initial letter of the tetragrammaton being "y" instead of "j" should answer one important question: What is the name of God's son? If you insist upon the Hebrew pronounciation, then God's son's name should be pronounced something like "Yeheshoua", although the precise pronounciation would have been lost. Likewise, all Hebrew names that include the form of the divine name should be pronounced similarly. In addition, if you are born in France with the name Jean, then you had better not let anyone call you "John" in the U.S. How ridiculous. Each country pronounces names in its own tongue. Jehovah has become the accepted form of God's name in English, just as it has other pronounciations in other tongues. The important thing to remember is that God has a personal name, and he wants us to know and to use it.

The mountain that we our able to lift is symbolic.
Mountain means nation or people.

SUN - The Throne of David - (Psalm 89 v 36) - which is the British Throne. The "Stone of Scone" is Jacob's Pillar and Israel's Throne of David.

MOON - Reflects the light of the SUN. The SUN is the British Throne and the "Commonwealth" reflects her light and power (like the moon does to the sun).

STARS of heaven - U.S.A. (50 on their flag, "STAR spangled banner" etc.)

HEAVENS - Political systems (above the mountains).

MOUNTAIN - Government - (Micah 4 v 1).

EARTH - Downtrodden people (oppressed and poor).

EARTH-QUAKE - Great upheaval of the EARTH (as above).

SEA - Restless, moving people who are not as oppressed and are free to move around (Psalm 65 v 6,7).

WATERS - Peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues (languages) (Apocalypse/Revelation 17 v 15).

HORN - kingdom

UNICORN - Unique horn - "One Kingdom, world without end" - God's Kingdom on Earth - soon.

OLIVE - The "House of Israel" - (people not country)

FIG tree - Jews (Matt. 21 v 20), Christ cursing Judaism for ever in verse 19.

DAY - Year in prophecy (Ezekiel 4 v 6) (Revelation 9 v 5).

MONTH - 30 years in prophecy (Rev. 11 v 2,3 - 42 x 30 = 1260).

SEVEN - The number of completeness in Scripture.
