i've been seeing the word a lot in questions lately, and it seems to be somewhat of an insult to whomever the word is referring to? however the breakdown of the word christophobe means one who fears christ. and all christians claim to be god fearing, so if christians are god fearing and christ is god, then aren't christophobes christians? why doesn't the asker just say christians? it's a lot less confusing and we already know what a christian is?

kenny i agree with your assessment about them wanting to bring the world down to their level, but why would christians be against anything that's christian? that doesn't make any sense.

i do not truly know the correct meaning of the term, however
just like homophobia is a mis nomer and is accepted so should Christophobe. The rute and body meanings of the word should be obvious to any.
i am let by logical thinking to believe that the term describes; people that are afraid of Christians. Such as we see here @R&S.
Marry Christmas.

I think in here the word Christianphobes refers to people who are against or afraid of ANYTHING Christian.......

They want the world brought down to THEIR level because they don't have it in them to rise to a better level.....

Now watch all the thumbs down which will only prove this response has hit a nerve.........

The first definition hits it on the head. It is a made up word that is a direct result of a persecution complex.
