Okay, i warn you, this might be gross......

There is a sore on the bottom of my left foot that wont go away, and is actually getting worse. I am not sure what it is or where it came from.

The sore started off about 2 months ago. A patch of skin on the bottom of my foot (about the size of a nickel), started to dry out and crack a little. I put lotion on it, etc, to try and help.

This spot is getting bigger. Sometimes, it is very raw looking and swollen. Sometimes, it is full of yellow puss. Sometimes, it is just a big blister. Sometimes it braks open, and the skin underneath it looks weird..... There are a bunch of little holes in the skin underneath it.

I have put antibiotic creams, etc, on it and nothing is helping. Im kind of embarased to go to the doctor for a little sore on my foot, but it really hurts. I walk on the side of my foot so i dont put pressure on it.

The skin around the sore is dried out and thick, with a yellow tint to it.

What could this sore be?

My husband had similar symptoms and it turned out that he was getting severe eczema on his foot.

Some prescription cortisone cream cleared it up in about a week.

You definitely will need to see a doctor to diagnose this problem and to write a prescription for anything you might need to resolve it.

Good luck!

With the newer types of insulin these days, diabetic diets aren't necessarily as restrictive as they used to be. Read here https://tr.im/qmAPs
As with any medicine or diet change, you should discuss it with your doctor. Fruits, both fresh and dried, have a natural sugar in them that will raise blood sugar levels, so be careful about eating too much. Not sure about the nuts. Moderation is always the key. I've been diabetic for 18 years and just recently changed insulin types. I love it because it gives me more freedom in when and what I eat.

It's a hard bump because the tissue is all inflamed. If it has red streaks coming from it you really need to take him to the Dr. immediately as streaks indicate the infection is spreading and could spread into his bloodstream leading to blood poisoning, loss of his foot, or even death.

You need to go see a doctor. That is what doctors are for - diagnosis these sorts of things, and getting you the proper treatment.

I have no idea what it is, but it sounds pretty serious to me!
