After all many top scientist at the time like Sir Francis Galton and Charles Darwin believed Eugenics was real. Do you think you are smarter then they are? Should you dare question scientist like this?

Eugenics was supported by many people, including the Rockefeller's, the Carnegie's, and the Harriman family. There was support world wide for this "science".

And just like this Bali conference, there were three International Eugenics Conferences to present a global venue for eugenicists.

And some countries even adopted Eugenics as part of their political views.

How could anyone stand up against the science of Eugenics? Who dare think that they are smart enough to disagree with the science of the time? After all, the consensus agreed that Eugenics was real and we could breed humans just like animals.

Maybe you agree that we should adopt AGW as part of a political platform just like gvmts in the past adopted Eugenics?

Sorry Bob - Eugenics survives to this day because there are many who still believe that the science is correct. After all you can breed traits into animals, and humans are just animals.

Unless of course, you think you're smarter than 99% of the scientist who claim Eugenics is real.

You make a solid point. The data coming in about climate change is changining the current models every day. It casts a lot of doubt on a lot of the things that Al gore and all of the Climate Change conferences hold as gospel. Which is really the problem. Global Warming is a scientific theory that was developed some 30 years ago. And like most scientific theories if you look at the data out of context you can make it support your theory. But when you take all of the variables into consideration, you realize that there are many reasons for climate change. But these people believe in their 30 year old theory like it is a religion. And every scientific study they do to back up their claim excludes the other causes for global warming, namely increased solar activity, which is causing similar effects on Mars. In this way it is very similar to eugenics, it is a pseudo-science that is practiced as a religion. And those who do not believe are attacked as savagely as any infidel. Now, I don't disapprove of most of the things that are done to combat global warming. Reduce pollution, use less energy, replenish the forests. All of these things are good things to do and will have good effects on the environment. I just don't think it is wise to bankrupt your country doing them, and I don't think we need the big lie of Global Warming to scare us into doing them. We just need to make them economically advantageous. People will go where the money is.

The proof of global warming is far greater than the "proof" of eugenics was. There was little data and no "consensus", as you claim. In fact, most scientists thought it wasn't true, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO DATA.

So the supporters of eugenics in no way resemble the global warming scientists today with mountains of proof, and the backing of most every world leader of every political persuasion.

What they most resemble are the "skeptics". Little data, only "logical arguments". In science that just doesn't cut it. Never has.

The "skeptics" are only supported by persons of particular political beliefs (as were the eugenicists), the global warming scientists are supported by conservatives and liberals alike.

EDIT - I agree with Rick's answer. Believing in the science of global warming is very much like believing in the science of evolution. There are "skeptics" picking at the details of evolution, even some scientists. But the vast majority of scientists believe the main points of the theory are correct.

You are right Dr. Jello - the same mindset was prevalent at Bali.

Uninformed people like Bob and most of the world believe we are animals thanks to the False Lies of Darwin and teaching of the flawed 'Theory of Evolution'.

These people don't have enough intelligence to read and comprehend the disproof of the 'Theory of Evolution'
