NO!!!! Human vitamins are not correct for dogs. They have very inexpensive dog vitamins, and if the vet suggested them, he could have sold you some. Pet Tabs are carried by most vets.
Really, if the dog is getting a good quality feed, vitamins are not needed and can lead to some problems. If you see a reproductive specialist, they will tell you to avoid supplements if at all possible.

No absolutely not. Dogs requirements are very different to a humans. Some of the vitamin and mineral content is way too high for a dog.
All a dog needs is a balanced and good quality diet.

NO! These are not formulated for dogs but for humans. Unless your vet has advised you to give your dog vitimins then none are necessary. Good quality food and vet care is all she need to produce healthy pups.

No it is not! If your vet thinks your dog need vitamins then HE/SHE will give you the vitamins for your dogs!
No vet will tell you to give human vitamins to a dog especially a pregnant one. At least mine never did!
If they need a supplement then she prescribed them and I got them from her not WalMart.

Antibiotics are a totally different story!

I'm not sure if childrens vitamins are sugar-free and/or have artificial sweetners in them and if they do there is something in artificial sweetners - Xylitol - that is very toxic to dogs. There are so many different ingredients in different vitamins so I would research every ingredient then take the bottle to your vet to get a second opinion on the ingredients listed.

Oh and read this article about xylitol-it's interesting...

there are many different childrens vitamins.. I doubt that all would be safe.. and we do know that the colored dyes in them are NOT good for kids so I doubt they would be good for dogs.. (heck the sugar in them isnt good for kids....)

anyhow a pregnant dog should be feed a good quality PUPPY food.. as such she shoudnt need vitamins added...

Check with your vet. Sometimes there are things that are human grade that can be given to dogs/cats. But smaller doses. Usually its safer not to though. Please check with your vet to be certain.

I wouldn't do it.

But you can look into some high-calorie, high nutrition dog food. You might even consider puppy chow.
