No. They were contemporary of the Jews but were in war with them and much later a substantial number got converted to Christianity. They had their language independent of Greek and Hebrew. It had some similarity with Armenian language. Their famous ruler was known by the name Ashura. The mention of Ashura Kings in India as Hiranya and his brother Hiraqhya has similarity with that of Iran and Iraq both of which had been Assyrian kingdoms.

Most references to the Assyrians seed to indicate that they were always opposed to the Hebrew people and fought with them. I find no indication that they used the Hebrew language.

No, they had their own language and I believe that the bible says that the hebrews were conquered by them at one time.
