It wouldn't make much sense to do so!
And it would be a waste of energy!

But people can hate the fact that other people believe in the thing which they don't.

And this hate is then transposed to the non exist (in the mind of the hater) object.

In a certain sense this hate then gives a solider form to the previously non believed object, as the non believer hater creates an object in his mind in order to direct his hate.

So we can hate some one so much that if in fact becomes real.

Fear can work in the same way?

But in both case's it is better to avoid hate as it will only bring about negative results.

You can hate it for the fact that other people believe in it.

Infact, to be specific, rather than saying 'I hate X', it should be 'I hate the people who believe in X'.

But i don't care about the specifics very much, only that i have a disliking of apathy in general.

great question- in reality it is impossible because you cannot love or hate anything you don't believe is real- however there are some people that say they do not believe in God, however they say things that make me think they are really afraid of the truth- so they live in denial of the fact that He does.

Yes, I can. I don't believe in god and still sometimes I hate him because weren't it for that ridiculous and childish concept there wouldn't be so many atrocities committed in his imaginery name.

I know it's ridiculous to hate something I don't believe exists at all, but it's not like that. I abhor the concept and the general idea of god.

since we're suppose to hate what's bad, because God hates what's bad, then I would think yes., reason being foe Christan's Christmas is a pagan holiday and so I hate it even though I don't BELIEVE in it, because it offends the TRUE God.

I think so, kind of. I get really involved in books when I read them, and I've felt feelings of hatred towards certain fictional characters.

But I'll agree with you that atheists don't hate God if they don't believe in him. Maybe some of them hate the concept.
