u probably shouldnt put on any perfumed lotions coz they can affect sensitive skin. u shud use a prescribed moisturiser and try to use it every night. (aveeno cream is good)

It probably is because of the cold...I have this problem too. I actually have eczema- but it gets MUCH worse in the winter!!
Try using a face wash that will exfoliate your skin, then you just have to keep putting lotion on!! My absolute FAVORITE is Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream (the one that comes in the "tub"). I use that mostly for my body..but it can be put on the face, too. I use Oil of Olay (oil free) face moisturizer and it works great.
Also, my dermatologist told me to shower in water that's NOT too hot, and put lotion on while your skin is still damp- it will help retain the moisture.

You may want to use a facial lotion on your face. I have the same problem that regular lotion stings when it's on my face. Try Clean & Clear Oil Free Dual Action Moisturizer.

This happens to my sisters hands all through winter. Basically, every time you wash your face put lotion on it. Try not using your acne product for a few days and see if that helps. never use paper towels and make sure you always dry your face thoroughly. Hope that helps.

Stop using the acne cream or reduce how often you are applying it. Moisturise at least twice a day, palmers cocoa butter is great but a little grasy for the face so buy a intensive mens moisturiser, there will be lots to choose from in Boots.

You need to make sure whatever moisturizer you use is oil and alcohol free. Oils in your moisturizer will defeat the purpose of the acne products you are using. The alcohol in some moisturizers will cause even more drying and is probably what caused your face to sting.
I would recommend that you use the hydrating Creme Concentrate from Bee Royal. It is oil free and all natural. It will also heal your skin!

I don't know if this will help but I had a problem with dry cracked hands and was getting no where with all the stuff I tried. I had to go to the dermatologist and he said to stop washing my hands so much. He gave me Eucerin moisterizer and I used that and cut way down on the hand washing. In a few days I was better.

I've had really dry skin my whole life, especially in the winter. I've found that several of the Eucerin brand lotions work much, much better than others.
They're pretty pricey but they are worth it.

You HAVE to keep using the lotion to keep your skin moisturized. Neutrogena has a really good one that I use (of course, I'm a girl) but for you, there should be a good one in the men's section.
Good luck!

Drink a lot of water to hydrate the inside. And find a good lotion to use a lot of on the surface, one with a lot of vitamins E, A, and D in it.
If you think your acne treatment is responsible, use less of it or don't use it at all.
Good luck!
