It would not affect my beliefs but some new questions would have to be asked, like, "Do they have souls?"

It would be interesting if they had a seven day week.

One interesting suggestion is that aliens have never disobeyed God, committed Original Sin and therefore do not require salvation.

God keeps them away from us for their own protection. This is why we only see glimpses of them (UFOs) but no real contact can be made.

With love in Christ.

It would no longer particularly result it, because of the fact the bible has on no account reported that we are the only planet that is composed of existence. traveling area seems as annoying to us because it is going to have been while the Romans regarded out around the Atlantic Ocean. They believed the international became into flat, and could no longer even think of that there must be different civilizations purely on the different edge of the "pond," yet there have been. So, why no longer evaluate the opportunity of existence on different planets. it is totally available.

Depends on the belief. It would not affect my religious beliefs, for they do not depend on humans owning the whole universe. It would certainly affect my beliefs about science.

But to me the important question, if we were to make contact with other life forms would be, "Do the aliens think humans are delicious?" :)

Good morning to you, Red Queen.

It wouldn't at all. Nothing in religion says anything about life on other planets..I don't know where all this comes from. I am a Christian. I love science. I support SETI. I even run the SETI screen saver. I don't think we will find anything..but I say "keep looking".

It wouldn't effect my beliefs at all, I believe there is intelligent life on other plantets - although I believe it's probably in a form that we would not recognize.

I, personally, just don't believe there is, so I don't think about it much at all. I'd definitely have to see it to believe it. Even if it was proven, I'd still have the same beliefs, but I'd also have a few more questions.

not much.

cause:

1. chances are too less for us to discover them ( going by our present technology in travelling in space and the distance to the nearest star).

2. and if they discover us..chances are too high that they were there anyway.

highly.

cause:

it would mean that I will not HAVE to be reborn in this rotten modern world civilization. (many things, some of it very critical in leading a healthy life, screwed up about it)

It depended on what they believed.

If they had independently a parallel but identical religious belief as one on Earth then that would be a very strong argument for that religion.

It's a win-win situation for the evangelists:

They have Jesus - proves that they are right.
They don't have Jesus - great opportunity for missionary work.

It would definately make me try alot harder because to me that would be a sign that GOD was tired of walking with baboons and decided to try more intelligent life forms.
