I don't celebrate a pagan winter solstice festival. A "True Christian" is close to God all of the time! The truth of the matter is, Jesus was not born in the winter, and is unscriptural to say the least. Christmas is an "invention" of the RCC that originated from it's roots in Babylon. It has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus Christ.....Here is the untold story of Christmas....http://www.ucg.org/booklets/HH/christmasuntoldstory.htm

Jesus was God on earth. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

Whom do you feel closer to? I'm close to all one of them.

Neither, I am close to both at all times with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Christmas is a Catholic holiday taken from pagan rituals and turned into a commercial venture.

I love the magic of Christmas, but it is not a spiritual event for me.

I know I sound contradictory, and confess to be so. Grace will have to be sufficient for now.

Uh - since Jesus claimed equality with God, the question is moot.

Besides, I try to get close to God all year round, not just on the day we use in order to remember and celebrate his birth into this world.

Well, I don't use Christmas as an excuse to feel closer to Him. I don't think I feel 'closer' than any other day, but I do still feel close.

I only experience greater valuable, in spite of any religious connotations. So how did the conflict with regards to no longer doing the "present giving" subject artwork out? Did you provide in and supply presents or only rejoice the spirit?
