You may ask whatever you want. It's a free country.

Yes. Right as he comes up to the window, you should ask, "what seems to be the problem officer?". This is good to do because he will now tell you exactly why he pulled you over instead of him asking you. If he asked you "Do you know why I pulled you over?" and you say "Speeding", you have just completely admitted to breaking the law and it makes it much easier for the cop. Also, you don't have to roll the window all the way down. You can just crack it enough to pass through your ID and insurance.

You can ask him what his shoe size is if you want. Certain states give you certain rights like seeing the radar gun display but none of it will stop him from writing the ticket. Hell, in Cali they can give you a ticket just by estimating your speed with no other tools other then their experience and training. 9 times at of 10 they'll be right!!

You can ask to SEE the speed locked on the radar in most states. You better be respectful, with please and thank you. But it's only fair to hold them accountable. Speeding can be he said she said if you don't take this step.

you can ask whatever you want, but the more you talk the more pissed they officer will get, so just watch it and stay respectful. the wrong words can get you handcuffed and put in the cruiser...and potentially jail for a day :)

I have asked to see the actual radar gun and the officer kindly showed me.

I wouldn't ask to see his gun.
