Trader Joe's, which is a chan of grocery stores that sell only natural and whole foods, has granola bars that are quite yummy. I buy the chocolate chip. They're very sweet and only 110 calories. (At $1.99 box they're also cheaper than Quaker and other store brands, all, if not most, of which contain partially hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, and/or high fructose corn syrup and other artificial stuff.)
Fruit is also very good, or cut carrots and trail mix. It's what I took along the last time I saw a movie. (I hid it in my purse.) You could bring along air popped pop corn. That's what we make at home, with Smart Balance (which is also all natural) spread. Used to be I could sit through a movie without eating. (The overpriced under nutritious snack bars are just there to try and suck more money from people.) However, we saw the moring show of "The Simpsons" and it had already been awhile since I had had breakfast and I didn't know when we'd have lunch. Since I was pregnant at the time, I didn't want to have to wait to eat if I got hungry. (I'm breast feeding and also don't like to wait long with eating, but I don't think it's as bad as what it was when I was pregnant.)
Anyway, I hope this helps.

Dried fruits, even chocolate (like Hershey Kisses) or your own bag of air-popped popcorn with "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray are great low cal snacks. But I have to say, splurging one night on popcorn at the movies will not make you gain a substantial amount of weight. You may find that when you splurge on a high fat/high cal food occasionally, you will actually lose weight.

Have you ever tried hummus? hummus with red pepper or crackers is healthy. nutrition bars, 100 calorie snacks, and peanuts work too. The healthiest snack to put in your lunch is fruit or veggies. Some ideas for fruit could be strawberries, apple (whole, not cut, it can rot), watermelon, grapes, anything that can be chopped, or anything that is small enough to fit pretty much! For veggies, you could have a salad, or carrots and dip. Eating veggies and fruits doesn't have to be boring. Add condiments like dips for veggies. Eating caramel with apples is good, or peanutbutter.

You can get those 100 calorie packs at the store and they have a large variety of snacks to choose from. Almonds are good as long as you don't take too many, but they have protein and will keep you full. Drink lots of water, even try flavored seltzer.

HI,
If you have extra money go out to the store and buy some of those 100 calorie packs. If you have tons of options with those. Both snacks, and cookies. Or buy Lays baked snacks.
Hope this helps and enjoy!

How often do you go to the movies? Pig out, it's part of the experience.
