As weight goes, The USP .45 with a 4.41inch barrel only weighs 1.74 lbs (789g), as compared to a Beretta 92 weighs 2.09 lbs ( 950g), and the USP is 10 times the gun. It is not the lightest, but it is one of the toughest. I own one and have had no problems with it at all, and it prob my second favorite pistol I own ( out of 7).

It is an excellent choice. I really like mine and it is very reliable. I'm a pretty big guy so the weight and recoil don't bother me at all. I actually prefer my Colt 1911 in .45 ACP because it is a little thinner across the slide and, well it's a Colt! I think you'll be happy with your choice though.

H&K is a good gun, but will be a little heay with the solid mechanics. If weight is your big issue, Taurus makes a feather weight handgun, for the money, feel, and firing Glock is always the best choice in handguns.

You should go to the gun range in your area that has guns that you can try out.
I liked the MAB 9mm until I shot a Colt 1911 45.
That gun fit my hand better and even seems lighter. Man! What a difference in fire power!
H&K is a good gun and heavy enough to absorb recoil. I wouldn't mind owning one.

This is probably the best pistol money can buy, if the weight of this weapon is a problem look at the Sig-Sauer P 220 they have light weight and compact .45ACP pistols.

Excellent choice! If you don't mind the weight, it's an ideal choice.

Maybe you should look into a 40cal, its not overkill, and its not too small. I personally like sigs.
