I believe you're right, however the effects have diluted over the generations. So now we're just "down low" and "feeling down".

The biblical incest thing is what I use to run the Jehovah's Witness and LDS people off...it's so much fun watching them squirm since they cannot fathom the idea that the children of Adam and Eve may actually have had to commit incest in order to reproduce...or mate with animals...LMAO!!!
The fact of the matter is this...in the Bible you will find that there were "other people" on Earth at the time Cain killed Abel and was sent into the land of Canaan...it's just little hints...but the information is there...and no fundamental bible thumping fire and brimstone Christian will admit it...except for people like me...here's where the evolutionists will get a giggle...the missing link between the "ape like" hominids and "homo sapiens" is those people whom Cain was afraid would kill him when God sent him out into the wilderness...he took a wife...and it's a sure bet that the rest of Adam and Eve's children also did the same...
Anyone who denies that fact also denies the truth of the story of the divine creation of man by God in the form of Adam and Eve...

As an agnostic, I believe the story of Adam and Eve. Why? There are so many crazy people, crazy religions, the outright stupid, and given 4,000 years it's taken us this long to advance. The only plausible explanation is the arguement given above-incest, a family tree that doesn't fork, genetics in all it's wonder lol. The world is one giant rural arkansas. I used to breed horses, and when you had the occasional brother/sister oooops--you got some crazyyyyyyyyy critters. I'd have to agree with the authors assesment lol.

You are making a huge confusion : 'incest' and 'inbreeding'.
Incest is a moral fault, regardless of the genetic makeup of the participants. But inbreeding is a genetic result that would not have obtained with the earliest humans, thought is does now after the separating of genetic lines.

#1 down syndrome only happen to a small percent of incest couple...compare that to the world...1% of the world suffer some type of disability...ya i think you nail it...
is that why evolution so slow...no, its because we live too long
it takes 80-100 years for each and everyone one of us to live a full life, compare that to dogs who live 7 times shorter or the common fly who only live a few days...

Downs Syndrome has nothing whatsoever to do with incest. And Downs people are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet, and the rest of us might do better if we were a bit more like them.

Parents of Down Syndrome children did not commit incest for their children to be born that way. I hope none of them see this question. If you were trying to make a play on words, it didn't work.

we were around along time before god stopped incest.its my understanding that the imperfection,caused by sin, bred many imperfections and it had to be stopped. no we dont all suffer incestuous deformations.we were originally made perfect and it has taken thousands of years to get to the diseased, sick state we're in now.
