That would depend upon what exactly is meant by 'psychic healer' and upon how dramatic the healing is, etc.

If the healing were physical and subtle, I would use the gift. If it were too dramatic, I would resist using the gift or letting anyone find out about it. A dramatic and very effective gift like that is too powerful and too dangerous. You could never have a private life, again, and the temptation to use that power in less than ethical ways might be too great.

I would seek a teacher, but I would be very cautious about doing even that.

Would I heal my aunt's cancer? Yes. My mother's blindness from diabetic retinopathy? I'd want to, but since there is presently no known cure for it, I'd think long and hard before doing it. There would be too many doctors wanting to know how it happened, and too many questions, if her sight were recovered suddenly.

The issues of when to use the gift and when to withhold it would be hard and heartbreaking ones.

If I found that I had found out I was a healer I would
realize that I had deviated away from true Bible based teachings.

Because the Bible clearly says this of gifts ,and the gift of healing.

1 Corinthians 13:8 ". . .But whether there are [gifts of] prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will be done away with."

Yes it was foretold in advance that the special gifts that were put upon the first century Christians would cease, and they did so when they had died.

Instead we are told to pursue these deeper , non superficial gifts.

1 Corinthians 14:1 ". . .Pursue love, yet keep zealously seeking the spiritual gifts, but preferably that YOU may prophesy."

A person claiming healing powers today , is simply NOT a true Christian.

For more Bible based info please feel free to email me.

A demon can inflict a disease or health problem and then the demon can leave the body and it be fine. Be careful because you could be a set up for destruction. If you have been dabbling into the occult, sorcery, witchcraft then the evil spirits (demonic) are the result of your healing ability which does not last. If you have been very close to the Lord and you have been anointed by God with this gift, then go into the hospital and start healing the sick. God will tell you which ones to heal.

I would get me a spot on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, build a huge auditorium, pipe in cheesy organ music with a country twang. Then on worldwide TV, I would fill the auditorium and ask a few people up on stage, knock them over to heal them. Once my audience knew I was for real, I would ask...no demand, in the name of God... to send me huge sums of money to further my ministry.

Then I would get me a slick private jet, a sexy blonde secretary, and an expensive cocaine habit.
