Flat white, low opaque sky for as far as you could see. Nothing but rivers of molten lava everywhere meeting an ocean. People being engulfed in the lava, screaming and burning up. One woman comes up to me with a bucket like you would see people using at the beach and walks laughing into the lava. My husband and I are on a boat apparently safe from the lava watching all this in horror. Eventually, we decide to set sail and try to find some people who survived and land untouched by the lava.

I've NEVER had a dream like that before. I'm not superstitious, but sheesh! <>

Your thoughts, please.

In real life you might be feeling that all the world around you has just went crazy. You don't undertsand how people survive this ridiculous drama/injustice/meaninglessness of life/... or whatever. But apparently they know what they are doing. They are laughing and playing and diving straight into it, without a bit of fear or concern. You seem to find it strange, and trying to keep yourself away from all this. The important thing is: Have you found people untouched by it really?
Let me guess: You just woke up at that moment. Because it is impossible to find anybody untouched by "it." It is the real life.

From this dream, I am getting the feeling that you and your husband have come through a bad situation, that things were bad for awhile, but now you are "in the same boat" so to speak, and found a "safe harbor". I'm not sure what to make of this symbol of the woman laughing, I find this symbol intriguing, but she sounds positive, the bucket is a symbol for an improvement in your situation, and the woman represents things like love and caring. As scary as this dream sounds, it actually sounds like you have come through a situation, and now things are getting better. Lava symbolizes an expression of anger that you kept hidden for awhile, but the anger has been allowed expression now so that whatever it was about, the situation can be worked on now. The people getting burned up in the lava are a reminder to you that unexpressed anger finds it's way out one way or another, and can do a great deal of harm. Hope this helps...

Many dreams deal with the subject of destruction, or even cataclysm. These usually occur when the dreamer is going through great doubts, cynicisms and heart searching.
