We are to hold on to our American traditions. People here are visitors and they should except our customs. They had to take that into consideration before coming here. Dont you when you visit a persons home respect thier ways while your there. Hey Merry Christmas, God Bless you

If it's that much of a concern to you then simply don't wish anyone Merry Christmas! It's pretty simple.
By the way what is a natural American?
Are you Canadian, a US citizen, Mexican, South American or what? All of these countries are American. North American, Central America, South America.
An American is one who resides in the Americas. If you mean you are a US citizen then state you are a US citizen.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I won't do yet another long paragraph like on your different question. Its 22:15 right here, and that i'm enormously knackered. So it is over particularly for me! We had kin around. great dinner. + Cheese cake, chocolate mousse and ice cream for dessert. actually feeling like a whale. We talked and shared promises for some hours, till now watching some action pictures and comedy episodes on DVD. Then they went abode and that i had warm drinks and toasties with my mom, dad and bro's. sparkling lights furnishings and yule tree. + A tidy abode. Love this time of three hundred and sixty 5 days! i like Christmas! Apple pies and custard for the next day! wish you had a spectacular day.

Don't worry about it-Christmas is pretty secular these days. As far as Islam goes Jesus is one of their prophets too. As far as Judaism goes I think maybe Jews are tired of Hanukkah being "upgraded" just because it coincides with Christmas. As far as Buddhism goes, well Jesus can be their guy too. His mother may be the Buddhist goddess Kan-non, depending on how you look at it. Hindus probably aren't going to get too worked up either. After all-if someone wished you a happy Diwali would you take offense?

tell them happy holidays. That should cover all of it. if you know what their beliefs are, do a little research and see what they would say. Or better yet, just ask. (as long as you know they are foreign.) I used to work at a dept. store and got that a lot too. Felt reaaaalllllyyy stupid one time when i asked a woman from Canada why she didn't have an accent! She laughed and said she wasn't from upper Canada! I chalk that one up to being young at the time! well, hope that helps and Happy Holidays!

Just wish them a Merry Christmas. I mean, how would you react if someone wishes you a happy Kwanzaa?
It's a friendly greeting in any language or culture.
