Does anyone know what life is like in Limerick, Cork or Dublin in Ireland?

cork is a bit more relaxed than lim. or dub, limerick is very spread out so ud better have a car, as public transport aint the best.
Dublin basically has everything ud ever need from swing classes to irish dance classes, courses a'plenty and public transport is getting slowly better, but if u stay near the city u can get around no prob via dart or luas or even(if ur brave enough & have the patience) dublin bus......
if i didnt live in dublin id live in cork for sure, it definatly has a lot to offer and would be close to a par with dublin for courses/ nightlife etc. even some courses u wouldnt find in dublin and the people there are more laid back than jackeens.
cobh is a beautiful town if ur ever in cork, its right beside the naval base in haulbowline.

Have to disagree about Limerick being violent. I lived there for a year and never had any trouble and I know many people who live there and are perfectly okay. There are few no-go areas, but you could say the same about any larger town. Having said that I found it neither scenic nor particularly interesting and wouldn't exactly go as far as recommend it as a great place to live.

Cork seems okay, but I haven't spent much time there.

Dublin to me has all the downsides of a big city (high rent, bad traffic, high prices in pubs etc) without being truly cosmopolitan like a larger capital like London or Paris. It's just my opinion, though, and maybe a Dubliner would argue that it is more sociable and managable for being smaller.

To be honest about my viewpoint: I live in Ireland due to circumstances but don't like it. (Apologies to all happy Irish residents, Irish or otherwise, it's just how I feel and I hope you don't take it personally). However, if I had to recommend a place to live I would pick Galway.

People who call Limerick Stab City are uneducated and obviously not well travelled! Limericks name is actually the city of the broken treaty! I agree with Orla C, Limerick is a lovely friendly town and there are acually more violent deaths in Dublin than there are in Limerick!!

Limerick is grand, typical unedcauted statement to call it stab city.

Dublin? Far too expensive, its a rip off for whats on offer. Its a very fast, noisy, smelly city, lots of different nationalities. Like most big cities it has a major drug and gang problem, lots of gun crime. Limerick does experience the same.

Cork, I've never been there but I hear the people are lovely and see us all as langers.

Limerick is a delightful small and friendly city with an undeserved reputation and a thriving arts scene. It also has 4 third-level educational institutions (UL, LIT, Mary I and Limerick Senior College) and many pubs and clubs, including a fun gay bar. It's probably the cheapest place to live in Ireland at the moment, but I think it's the most fun.

Limerick - Not as bad as people say it is, ive spent some great nights there. As long as your in the right place and youl know if its a rough area or not I can assure you!
Cork - Grand, a delight
Dublin - Brilliant. Bit dodgy though :D

I love Dublin. It's expensive, but it's lively and exciting, with plenty to see and do. It's easy enough to get around the city on foot, and most areas are fairly well connected to the city centre by public transport, even if traffic is a bit slow at times. There are loads of interesting shops too, now there's Polish, Hungarian, Lebanese etc restaurants, for example.

galway is renowned as a student town and cork is also supposed to have a good night life. Limerick has a bad name because of gangland violence. Dublin is very expensive. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for, you could say there similar places but I have my personal preference but then i'm not looking to live there.

Limerick is notorious for gangland violence but the people are nice. Not much to see there.
Cork is a lovely city, great pubs, great people, but the accent can be fairly hard to understand.
Dublin is like any modern European city. Very fast-paced lifestyle, very cosmopolitan. But still has good pubs and nightlife

all those above mentioned places are good if you put more knowledge about why you wanted to know then i could tell you more every place is lovely great spirit in people on the emerald isle im in cork our accent is fine you;ll understand us no problems xo
