This is just one of MANY ways of making camel-meat tender enough to eat! Passing the meat through the eye of a "needle" (actually a mistranslation of the Farsi word "noi-dul", meaning "meat sieve") was just one way of making stringy camel meat more palatable. Camels (like horses) are typically used as "beasts of burden" until they die of old age, but whereas horse-meat is still delicious even at advanced age, camel-meat is tough & stringy & needs the help of a noi-dul pressing before it can be eaten.

Bon appetit!

LOL The Eye of The Needle was a gate that was small and narrow. Very difficult for a packed camel to enter through. It was meant mostly for people walking. Hence the parable about it being difficult but not impossible for a rich person to enter Heaven.

Read that New Testament Greek word for 'camel' is similar to the one for 'rope'. Translators used wrong English word. This would make better sense of the imagery used.

I saw a question similar to this before. The answer was something like the doorways were shaped like the eye of a needle...I don't know. I certainly don't claim to be an expert on the Christian bible.
