A 'true Christian' seems to be a Christian who never does anything that other Christians find noticeably objectionable. You can take that either as a lesson for humility, or an observation of a divisive culture.

First, a true Christian will not be by everyone's definition. True Christian implies there are False Christians. Both scriptures and common sense point to there being comparatively small numbers of true compared to false. 100,000 religions claim to be true Christian with divisions within each expanding that number. Since the Creator is an orderly God, He would have one way He wishes to be worshiped and let us know from the Bible. (1Cor. 14:33)
The main thing would be showing love (principled love) and unity among ourselves. (John 13:35; 15:12; 1Cor. 1:10) This principled love would be based on ACCURATE knowledge and FULL discernment, (Philip.1:9) not on the teachings of men. (Matt. 15:9) As Matthew said such worship mixing in the teachings of man would be useless.
This unity means speaking in agreement no matter where on earth we are. Many churches may have three churches on the same stretch of road each teaching different beliefs but claiming to all be Baptist or Methodist, etc. This is not unity. Neither is fighting one another. Think of it! In national wars, who fights and dies? There are Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians, etc. on both sides. Each tells themselves God is on their side. Is this unity in any way????
True Christians must, without any wiggle room, obey James 1:22 where it orders us to become doers of the Word, not hearers only. What does God's Word order us to do? Matt. 24:14 tells us to preach and teach all over the planet the good news of God's Kingdom. Who does this? Certainly not false Christians. They want to lie around as lazy as possible.
Also notice the only limit to this preaching work would be the end of this system of things and not after a few months by a select few.
Also necessary is belief in all the Bible and not just parts we agree with because it doesn't require any effort. 2 Timothy 3:16 shows all scripture is beneficial, inspired of God, and what it is for.
This is part of what it means to be a true Christian.

I feel that a true Christian is one who tries to follow the teachings of Jesus in whatever he or she is doing. "Tries" is the operative word here because all of us fall short of this goal. We are only human, and if we make mistakes, we try to learn from them and do better the next time. A true Christian does not judge others but rather tries to help them when the opportunity arises, and show by example how Christians should act. I try to do this in whatever I do, and I find that life is good and the rewards of living a good life are legion.

I am a human being and a sinner. I recognize the difference between being that and being God. God lives in my heart and I try to follow what is God's will. I make mistakes and sin because I am NOT God. Being a Christian, I realize this about each person. People make mistakes. God loves everyone, he does not love me more because I am Christian. He holds us all as equal on our own paths. Being a "true Christian" is salvation through Jesus, making mistakes, knowing it, and trying to do better. Such as the catch phrase "What would Jesus do?" Why did that become so popular? Because that's what it's all about...

I'll answer you in love, but the wall of sarcasm you've put up shows me that it'll just bounce off with no effect at all.
But oh well, here goes .... a Christian is (supposed) to be a follower of Jesus. The evidence of their "Christianity" will be in the fruit they produce. Does love just ooze from them are do they seem hard hearted? Can you look at their life and see the evidence of Christ everywhere, or do they just mention Him at grace time before dinner? Do their actions reveal a real and honest attempt to live up to the standards of Jesus or do they use Him as an excuse to get out of trouble?
I think almost everyone can name someone they've known who is like this. Not Bible thumpers or preachers, but real genuine loving people.

There might be few left in this world but the majority carries the name like a thunderbolt readily available to strike down anybody who does not qualify as Christian – what ever this name means-.
I’m not Christian and I don’t follow any other religion but I’m not atheist…I just don’t like pathetic crowds, indoctrination, false teachings and religious manipulation.

In fact, no I am not a true christian. Not a christian at all. But I think if I were one I would say they are the people who don't go to church on sunday morning and act with the upmost hypocricy by the afternoon. Ones that follow through on what it is they say they stand for.

A "true Christian" is someone who puts into action the teachings of Jesus Christ - esp. love one another... The comment, "you're not acting like a true Christian" is said to those who talk a good talk but don't walk the walk. They're the Christians who want Armagedon, think all gays are going to hell, and think only their church will save everyone else. Excuse me, but I would like to think the God who rules this world isn't going to care as much if you have "paid your dues to be a member of the club" as much as if you are "working out," if you know what I mean. Also, I think a true Christian will not brag that he/she is - because again, the people who talk a good talk often don't walk it. Addendum - in my life experience, often it's the heathens who act more Christ-like than the Christians I've met, unfortunately.
