What do you deal with in the morning before school?

As far as the kid's not wanting to get ready for school

The best way I've found to make mornings easier is to make sure my daughter gets to bed early enough so that she's able to wake up easily on her own in the mornings. If she starts having trouble in the mornings, I know she needs more sleep and I will adjust her bedtime a bit earlier. I also keep the morning routine simple, give her one task at a time, and praise her when she's cooperative.

My seven year old is tough. Her older sister used to wake me up to tell me to help her get ready!! (two hours before!!) Aurra however pretty much has to be told, take off your pj's, put on your shirt, etc. it's like she is a zombie. Once she is ready and her sister says its time to go, she gets up and follows. If i let her to her own, then she'll still be sitting in her pj's when the bus arrives! Just wanted to let you know your not alone! *their bedtime is nine and she is usually asleep by 8 to 8:30 and doesn't get up till 6:30. I'm thinking of starting her on coffee!! LOL!
