"Destruction of unfavorable records by unsympathetic Pharaohs, and even mass obliteration of cartouches from monuments, is known to have occurred at several epochs in Ancient Egyptian history.[65]"

What are you talking about? Moses in Egyptian is Mose. There are lots of Mose's: Achmose, Amenmose, Tutmose, etc. Oh, you talking about the Biblical account of the Exodus. Unfortunately, archeology doesn't support an Exodus larger than the three thousand Hyksos and the Amen cult that were chased out of Egypt after Akhenaten died.

Just another proof of the Meta-Physical content of the Scriptures.
Moses most likely was not the author of Genesis but compiled the stories of the ages to create the allegorical stories - including that of Egypt.
More accurately, the name 'Egypt' should be translated 'Mitzeraim' - meaning 'duality.'
Moses, the self appointed leader of his tribe was teaching how to overcome slavery to duality - the ideas of 'right' and 'wrong' - etc that has enslaved the race.
The name 'Moses' means 'drawn up from the water' and has such a deep meaning that I will not go into here - needless to say that 'water' represents 'life' and to be drawn up out of the water means to learn by living.

this is a weaker one.
most of those time important people had several names, relating to their status. Not to mention occasional name switching while passing into the adult age etc.
MOre than that, since you are probably reffering to the red sea crossing... the rulers of the past much the same like the todays are not keen on advertising their defeats.
Some of the victorious embossings of the ancient Egypt actually relate to defeats, yet they are depicted as a glorious victory.
Propaganda of its kind.
finally the ancient Egyptians believed that even the single name may cause the ressurection of that person... thats why so many repetitive name chartouches all over the temples of Egypt - at least one of the names should survive and bring the ressurection to its bearer. and on the other hand the names were erased when their bearer was no longer popular by his successors.

They didn't like Moses so they didn't write the good stuff he did... Kinda like the Libs who refuse to see any good things from the Bush Administration. See, George Bush is like Moses - He is leading the right out of the slavery imposed by 8 years of Clinton.
I don't think the Egyptians had proof that Ramses was a descendant of Ra, but you just worship whichever God you like.

Let's say the Egyptians erased records. Why is that there is NO mention of the Pharaoh's name in the JEWISH records?
Hitler was definately real, which is why every Jew especially remembers his name. Pharaoh was like Hitler so why would they forget Pharaoh's name?

There is no mention of Joseph or the Hebrews being there for 200 to 400 years either. While Pharaohs have been known to remove references of predecessors, we can see evidence of the removal and often determine who was removed. There is no evidence to indicate that Moses was removed, and it is unlikely that the removal process would have taken out all indication of the Hebrews living there.
Just to be clear, not only is there no evidence of Moses, there is no evidence of Joseph, no evidence of the Hebrews living in Egypt for 200 to 400 years, no evidence of a Pharaoh and his army not returning from a campaign and no evidence of the wilderness treck. To put it simply no evidence for it at all.
