Did God told the Israelis to evacuate all the peoples of Palestine by force and take your “promised land” by force?
Do you think God is not having enough land in his huge world to give the Israelis a land already inhabited by its peoples since thousands of years?
Do you think God is happy to see his chosen people’s kill 4901 Palestinian civilians since September 2000?
This is what I read in Torah,
“In Numbers chap. 34 Preparations being made to enter Canaan and possessing the land. Reuben and Gad did not want to cross the Jordan”
So, God told Moses you are entering Canaan land, God didn’t tell him you are entering the Promised Land or your land, or the Jewish land, it means God told him you are entering a land it is not “yours” it is for the cannanies…

B,
Do you think God blames you if you protect your land and right?
Do you think God blames the Iraqi resistance because they defend their country??

Thanks B, now I understand your point…..

But believe me, if you live between the Israelis, you will realize that they don’t want peace with the Palestinians…
Arafat was ready to make peace, and he gave them more than any Palestinian could accept… finally they poison him,,,
Now Abas is ready for any agreement,,,, but they don’t want, and historically, the Jews never lived peacefully with others unless they are weak…

God is not happy to see any war in this world , all the land in this world belongs ultimately to God. How can us humans fight over land that does not belong to us? Why can't we share the earth and all get along and when we look at any human , know that human is from God and we shouldn't fight with that human? akh akh, When will God come and set it all straight? I wait for this day. Peace to all!

mike I can tell you this much for sure:
TOTALS SINCE SEPT 2000:
Israelis: 119
TOTALS FOR 2000:
Israelis: 0
Israelis: 119
TOTALS FOR 2000:
Israelis: 0
TOTALS SINCE SEPT 2000:
Palestinians: 971
TOTALS FOR 2000:
Palestinians: 91
TOTALS SINCE SEPT 2000:
Israelis: 119
TOTALS FOR 2007:
Israelis: 1
TOTALS FOR 2007:
Palestinians: 52

This is for children alone. The other some odd 3900 were not all militants. And this much I can also tell you, if there was not an illigal occupation, the numbers would be smaller.

Also for the fact that if the media reported every death and treated humans equally(as you see when an Israeli dies there name and funeral is shown on tv) but a Palestinian is simply forgotten about. Peace!

What I particularly have never understood is why the components are not directed to offering new residing quarters for refugees removed from the conflict. If human beings elect to die with no bring about sight over a plot of land(no count what the religious importance) it extremely is a regretful subject, yet do no longer stress it upon anybody.

zion is the Jewish heaven. It was never intended to be a geographical place. The emulation of a historical place is looked down on by God and man as a something like a joke. The Holocaust is a different matter all together though. zion will learn that to every action there is a reaction. I hope we won't have to go through their woe is me bit later on. I am sick of their whining.

EDIT

Your comment
according to the Torah, in ancient times G-d did command the Israelites to take the land by force.

If this true, then there can never be peace until every zionist is wiped from the planet.

Firstly, I would ask you to kindly refrain from trying to teach Jews about Judaism when you clearly don't know what you're talking about. You may not agree that it is true that G-d promised them this land, and no one requires that you do, but for a religious Jew it is part of their beliefs. Please don't take one line out the Torah that you think bolsters your argument and ignore the rest because it makes you look silly and is easily refuted as has already been done above.

It is my understanding, and anyone please anyone correct me if I'm wrong, that according to the Torah, in ancient times G-d did command the Israelites to take the land by force. However, this a story about the ancient Israelites, and, to my limited knowledge, is not necessarily a mandate for action now. I would be interested in hearing contemporary Jewish theological views on that.

However, it was your original question that drew me into this discussion. It is my deeply held belief that G-d has put this challenge into our lives as a test, not because He is happy to see the conflict, but because He wants to see how we will respond. Will we descend into tribal hatred and perpetual conflict? Will we learn to love others, though they are different from ourselves? Will we cling to the beautiful human qualities of compassion, justice, and forgiveness or will we descend into and be consumed by those qualities that we have been endowed with as challenge to rise above such as anger, hatred, and bloodlust?

I hope you and all those who read these words will ask yourselves these questions and decide if you are passing or failing the test.

I believe that God sent each and every one of us to stop the violence and bring peace to all. However, we people can't seem to live in peace with each other.

BTW - that number of 4901 Palestinian civilian you are citing contains Palestinians who are civilians making bombs, involved in terrorist activities, and other activities to murder others. If you want to call the majority of that number of people civilians - then you have to go what we would identify those civilians as and that would be criminals and murders - make sure you choose your words wisely - I know I can make mistakes on here - lol.

Good Luck!!!

abc, i'd like to see what evidence you have that 'palestinians' have the right to claim that region any more than jews do. obviously, it is a holy land for both groups, so why can't you respect that and live there in peace?

it wasn't right of the european colonizers to partition the middle east, but it's done now and the best thing for all concerned is to find a peaceful way for everybody to coexist.

I agree with B on this one.

It's a miracle!!!

ABC - as usual, you blatantly ignore the facts. 'the Jews only got on with people when they were weak'

Oh, you mean 'weak' as in being exterminated by the Nazis?

But Israel isn't weak - and that's no good either, according to you!

If the Palestinians had one representative who really wanted to make their lives better, and who would aim for this WITHOUT stating that Israel must be destroyed, then it would make a huge difference.

Both sides will have to compromise.

this is chapter 34 - I think you should check your sources because it clearly says that the people of Israel will inhereit this land... :]

I agree with B unless both sides want peace there won't ever B peace that is why Israel always wants peace and the palestinians never accept it, maybe the future will be better.

anyways Israel has tried to have peace since 1991 with the palestinians - and in Camp David 2000 Summit
Main article: Camp David 2000 Summit
In 2000, US President Bill Clinton convened a peace summit between Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. The Israeli prime minister, Ehud Barak reportedly offered the Palestinian leader approximately 95% of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as Palestinian sovereignty over East Jerusalem, and that 69 Jewish settlements (which comprise 85% of the West Bank's Jewish settlers) be ceded to Israel. He also proposed "temporary Israeli control" indefinitely over another 10% of the West Bank territory--an area including many more Jewish settlements. According to Palestinian sources, the remaining area would be under Palestinian control, yet certain areas would be broken up by Israeli bypass roads and checkpoints. Depending on how the security roads would be configured, these Israeli roads might impede free travel by Palestinians throughout their proposed nation and reduce the ability to absorb Palestinian refugees.

President Arafat rejected this offer. President Clinton reportedly requested that President Arafat make a counter-offer, but he proposed none. No tenable solution was crafted which would satisfy both Israeli and Palestinian demands, even under intense U.S. pressure. Clinton blamed Arafat for the failure of the Camp David Summit. In the months following the summit, Clinton appointed former US Senator George J. Mitchell to lead a fact-finding committee that later published the Mitchell Report. Later at the Taba summit (at Taba) in January 2001, the Israeli negotiation team presented a new map. The proposition removed the "temporarily Israeli controlled" areas, and the Palestinian side accepted this as a basis for further negotiation. However, Prime Minister Ehud Barak did not conduct further negotiations at that time; the talks ended without an agreement and the following month the right-wing Likud party candidate Ariel Sharon was elected as Israeli prime minister in February 2001

We would like first to clarify the true concept of Jihad and its wider dimensions by citing the following words of Sheikh `Atiyyah Saqr, former Head of Al-Azhar Fatwa Committee, in which he states:

"Jihad is one of the most misunderstood and abused aspects of Islam. There are some Muslims who exploit and misuse this concept for their own political objectives. There are many non-Muslims who misunderstand it. There are some other non-Muslims who misinterpret it to discredit Islam and Muslims.

That is why the word 'Jihad' has been misused due to misunderstanding its true meaning. The word 'Jihad' is derived from the Arabic word jahd which means fatigue or from the word juhd which means effort. A mujahid is the one who strives in the Cause of Allah and exerts efforts which makes him feel fatigued. Jihad means exerting effort to achieve a desired thing or 'to prevent an undesired one. In other words, it is an effort that aims at bringing about benefit or preventing harm.

Jihad can be observed through any means and in any field whether material or moral. Among the types of Jihad are struggling against one’s desires, Satan, poverty, illiteracy, and disease, and fighting all evil forces in the world.

There are many religious texts that refer to these types of Jihad. One of the forms of Jihad is defending life, property or honor. Those who die while engaging in Jihad are considered to be martyrs, as confirmed by Prophetic Hadiths. Jihad is also done to avert aggression on home countries and on all that is held sacred, or in order to face those who try to hinder the march of the call of truth."

Thus, Jihad is never a tool of waging war against the innocents. It is never a means of flexing the muscles or bullying the weak and oppressed. Jihad in Islam is something unique that is established to defend the divine message from being eliminated or hindered by its enemies.

Focusing on the question in point, the prominent Al-Azhar scholar Sheikh `Abdul-Majeed Subh states the following:

"I would like to tell you, dear son or dear daughter, who may share in the same belief or have his or her own, that understanding defensive Jihad as initiating fighting without a religiously acceptable reason is a total misunderstanding of the tenets of faith and the clear Qur'anic verses. In the Qur'an, defensive Jihad is under condition of repelling aggression, whereas preemptive Jihad is done only when the Muslim Ummah seriously expects a treason or an attack against its territories from an enemy.

Referring to this, Allah Almighty says: "Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not do aggression, for Allah loves not the aggressors. Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loveth not aggressors. And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers. But if they desist, then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrongdoers." (Al-Baqarah 190-194)

Contemplating over the meanings and shades of the aforementioned verses that are best misused and misinterpreted by many non-Muslims, I can deduce the following:

1- The apparently preemptive Jihad in the first verse "Fight…" is not an open call for all those who differ in creed. Rather, it is conditioned by "… those who fight…".

2-The phrase "And slay them wherever ye find them…" in the second verse is conditioned by "…but if they attack you…"

3- The general rule that everyone should pay attention to along the line is that "…Allah loves not the aggressors." And "… But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrongdoers."

After the above explanation, I would like to add that Islam prohibits attacking those who do not fight. As I stated above, the preemptive war in Islam is only permitted when there is treason against Muslims from the enemy with whom they live in peace, or imminent attack against the Muslim territories. In such cases, Muslims are not supposed to stand hand-cuffed and wait to be slaughtered by others, although the war they are supposed to launch is not an aim in itself.

Having said this, I would like to classify war in Islam into three main categories:

1-Defensive War, which is resorted to when the enemies of Muslims attack the religion, honor, property, territories etc..

2-Liberating War, which is done to liberate all those who are oppressed, such as slaves. This form of war was normal in the early days of Islam.

3- Preemptive War, which is launched only when Muslims know for sure that there is treason against their peaceful treaties with the enemy, when the enemy has a serious plan to attack them.

It is worth stressing at the end that all the three kinds of war that are mentioned above are approved by international law, and they are in effect in modern laws."
