I drink plenty of milk, exersize, eat well and have not hit my finger anywhere in the past few years. I have had these for the past 5-6 years and i can't lose them( I've had them since I was 5-6 and now i'm 12). I have tried all the myths but I just can't lose them! Please help.

It usually means that you are deficient in some type of nutrient/vitamin.....If you are not taking one already, you should try to take a multivitamin everyday...then in a few months your white spots should go away. (It takes a while for your body to react overall when nutrients that are needed are replenished in your body. Especially when it comes to hair and nails).

This article at teenhealthfx.com says it can be caused by injuries to the nail matrix, or to zinc deficiencies.

it shows that you have iron deficiency...i also have mine sometimes...but only on a single finger and just a tiny spot...
drink multivitamins that's rich in ferrous sulfate....

i thought it was not enough calcium.
