An answer to a question I recently asked has prompted this question (Thanks FuriousBlueballs I've been wondering the same thing) In those shows where some preacher on tv does something to a member of the audience (heal or whatever) and they roll on the ground shake excessively and sometimes babble things, what's supposed to be happening and why are they supposed to act like that?

they SUPPOSEDLY are being filled with the Holy Ghost I guess? or something to that nature, feeling God's presence? I don't know either way there a bunch of lunatics. You should be filled with the Holy Spirit already if you were saved so. But yea it is just a big money fund, you can find articles about those people on stage traveling with the "preacher" and its all being staged. Some guy once saw this act and loved it but than later on traveled to follow this guy cause he liked it so much and found out that it was the same people on stage as the previous "sermon".

The bible says that when you receive the gift of the holy spirit you can speak 'in tongues' which is a language given to you that you don't understand but is basically your soul speaking to god. As for the falling on the ground: I believe the holy spirit can move people in those ways, I have been. (they're basically experiencing god's presence) HOWEVER I know that a lot of people exaggerate it and want to appear 'more holy' by doing it, that's just human pride.

I think there is a lot of psychic phenomenon going on and I think some demonic. It makes a good show and rakes in the money. Certainly has not much to do with Christianity and people who follow the Bible.
