you have to ignore the past of lies, false prophecies death and trampling on Gods word to remain . The evidence is clear but leaving a comfy place to stand for God is too much for most. Gods word proves the doctrines of the JWs false but they love their religion more than God. Staying is easier

Nothing will ever make me turn my back on Jehovah. I will and have been a JW my whole life. Nothing will ever change that.
Now if your question was worded a little different, say "what makes it hard about being a JW?" I would say it is how when you knock on peoples door, really trying to help them, they except your help and then you call back and they are not home. We are talking about peoples lives! We are trying our best to help! It is really sad that many people are misinformed by the lies about JWs. I wish people would just ask us VS comin online to get thier information. It is a very serious matter, it is their everlasting life. Everything that bothers me has to do with other people not excepting Jehovah. But being a JW, no nothing!

I personally try to ignore the lawlessness and wickedness around me.
The world has become so bad that it is the norm in most cases.
It's just taken for granted that teens will dress like they want and act like they want and only the most criminal are incarcerated.
You know...kids will be kids...
The same with adultery..sowing wild oats and all that...everyone just assumes it's permissible to test drive a few before marriage.
There was a time not too long ago that everyone disciplined kids..the teacher, the neighbor, and especially the parents.
There was a time not too long ago..within the last 50 years when everyone shunned an adulterer.
But today all we can do is avoid and ignore and put distance between us and them. For God will judge fornicators and adulterers. And foolishness is tied up in the heart of a boy ( and a girl) and the rod of discipline will remove it far from him. And we must inculcate the truth in our children all day long...most parents are too busy working to provide the necessities of life to even know where their children are.
This world has become a sad place from Jehovah's standpoint. And we know what happens when he is dissatisfied..he makes a new society.
The Kingdom will come as prayed for in the Lord's Prayer.
So as a Jehovah's Witness we must protect our relationship with Jehovah by staying clear of bad people and false religion.

I've been a witness for 38 years. I haven't ignored a thing.
Destructive Criticism: Funny comment. Just keep praying and examining the scriptures.

the fact that people think we are a occult and make fun...however people have pride in a religion that they are born into..the tradition perhaps and when we talk to them about the truth its hard to make a change because they don't want to upset their family and such..I know this even in this wicked world we live in I am happy because I know Jehovah on a personnel basis and he has saved me and many others from out of this world of injustice and immorality

I, personally, have to ignore the "look of pity" that I get when my associates realize I'm studying to be a witness. If anything, their negativity draws me closer to Jehovah. Their reasons for "hate" are so unfounded. And when I hear them, it makes me realize how blind this world really is and all the lies that are circulating. It saddens me to know the dishonor being given to Jehovah's name. Imagine how he must feel!

"Ignore"?
Nothing, it would seem.
Of course, a true Christian (such as a Jehovah's Witness) will be happier and more successful when he recognizes and overcomes attacks and discouragements...
...from Satanic agents, from the "world" alienated from God, from well-intentioned but God-independent persons, from the Adamic imperfections of true worshippers, and from his own inherent imperfections of mind, body, and heart.

the lies that people say about us. the ones who turned there back on Jehovah have so much hate and they take it out on everyone who is a witness. also what is funny to me, people say they are scared of us. why should they? we are mothers, fathers, and children just like anyone else.

HUH???
Edit: I see what you mean from the other answers. (I've been staying with the books for too long- I'm losing brain cells)
The name-calling, the slander, the emotional blackmail by unbelieving relatives.....
But it's all worth it!!!
