Early Christianity was influenced by a Greek philosophy that saw matter as 'evil' and mind or soul as 'good'. So our physical bodies were seen as a hindrance to spirituality eg flagellation, starvation or rolling naked in snow.

Sex was separated from spirituality except within the narrow confines of 'marriage'. In a sense our genitalia were seen as belonging to our marriage partner and not for personal stimulation.

In Tantric sexuality this war between the body and spirit is over. Sex here is an expression of spirituality or raised consciousness without the need of orgasm.

In Christianity, some people believe it's a sin based upon a misinterpretation of the story of Onan.

Shame.

I'm not answering the other two questions. That's a little too personal.

Some believe that self-pleasure leading to orgasm is a waste of their "seeds"

Then again, how does that account for women having periods? Surely, when you don't conceive, it's a waste of an egg, assuming of course, that the egg is viable.

Perhaps you should ask who hasn't ever stimulated themslves?

Maybe people that are extremely sexually frustrated are easier to control because they are so desparate for the promise of 'rapture'?

People do, it's a fact. Nothing to be guilty about.

Because anything normal and natural to them is a "sin."

To questions two and three:
Yes, and no.
