My cat does the same when I'm drawing.
I think she's just wanting attention and maybe feels that because you spend so much time with the computer, this is your new favourite 'companion'. Just look at her from time to time, take short breaks from the computer and stroke her. Perhaps you could let her sit on your lap whilst you're on the computer, so she feels involved. Cats get very jealous when they feel like there is a competition for attention, and they deffinately want to win it. Just show your cat that she's still your number one. :)

My cat also acts abnormally when I am on the computer for extended periods of time. Perhaps it has something to do with the vibrations and sounds coming from the computer we cannot detect, but a cats acute senses pick up and react to. Or maybe our cats are just weird, who knows.

Yes, she is jealous of the attention that you pay to the computer, or rather she is perhaps disturbed that you are turning your back on her. Try positioning your computer so that your cat can rest in front of you, in your field of view. This may help.

I read somewere that cats like people who have the least eye contact so, she probably really likes you when your on the computer... Strange. Hope I helped.

She probably just wants the attention herself. My cat gets hacked off if she thinks she is being ignored...cats are spoiled demanding creatures. Would we be without them tho' ?

how old is your cat? yeah..she's probably jealous. Cats are loving and they need an attention. especially if you have little time for him/her. believe me, i have 2 small ones, and a one year old cat. but i never leave them unattended.

She wants you to ask a question for her, duh.
Or she probably has better answers than the ones you are giving.

I think it's the eye contact, cat's like eye contact, look at her once in a while...It might be like Fatal attraction....''she's not going to be ignored???" oned day you might find your computer in a pot of boiling water!
