What is the criteria for "starvation"? Is there any?

As in, how do I know if I'm officially starving? I know I'm not now, but I wonder if I was starving at any point. Thanks.

I guess this goes in fitness/diet...?

chronic malnutrition to the point that your BMI and body fat is well below the healthy range

look up the BMI tables. you'' find there the approximate data for your height, sex and body mass
Bear in mind that BMI is not the full story- many athletes "chart" as "obese", while in reality their "extra" body mass is pure muscle
bear in mind that there are many racial differences (despite Politically Correct propaganda, people are different) so you have to take different criteria for an Inuit or a Zulu.
"colour" cathegories don't come into it- a person of Hutu ancestry will have completely different BMI characteristics than a Tutsi
skin fat also differs between people- cold climate ancestry means a thicker layer of natural body fat. hot climate dwellers have thinner skins

are you starving? the following is not scientific, or "official" but works. stand before a full length mirror, wearing briefs.

If you are asking how do I know if I am starving then you have a body image problem.Just eat normally.A person shouldn't be
wondering if they are starving or wonder if they were starving themselves in the past.That is not normal.Eating to little or eating to much goes hand in hand with your health.Either way
puts one's health in grave danger.
