I am an Indian National and have over 5 years of work experience. What is the process for obtaining a work permit in Singapore?
Do I need a job before I can apply for a permit or can I get a permit first and then look for a job?
Is there a wait time before I can get a permit?
How much money do I need to part with?
Thanks for your help.

Can someone direct me to a website where I can find all this information (not a search engine).

Thanks for your help.

they are 2 types of work permit in Singapore issued to foreigner with professional experiences.
1. Employment Pass (EP). it is tied to a specific employer. you need to have a job with a company in Singapore to get this EP. the company/employer should file the application for the foreigner.
1. Personal Employment Pass (PEP). it does not tied to any employer. it will be granted on the strength of an EP holder's individual merits.

Apply for a working visa at the Singaporean EMbassy in India by providing the contract of employment, work record and proof that you can finance your travel to Singapore.
