Fifth Avenue along Central Park. That's where the rich and famous live. If you can't afford that try Chelsea co-ops those go for over one million, yet everywhere you look the prices will be outrageous in Manhattan.

Well if you money is not an issue and you are wealthy enough to pay for anything, hire a broker and they will find the place of your dreams.
Yes, be prepared to spend roughly 5K a month for a small studio in the Chelsea area or other trendy places

check out craigs list. I know several people that have gotten their apartments searching there. Many have photos also.
