My upper right wisdom tooth has been poking out of my gum for some time now. It is partially out. Well, about 3 days ago, I noticed I can't open my mouth all the way and can't chew too much out of no where. Like I said, it has been there, it just now started giving my problems with not being to open the jaw all the way. What is that? Did it grow more and now there is not enough room in my mouth? Or will that go away if I wait? I am really not too excited about getting it pulled, I have heard it is painful afterwards and will not be able to work for about 3 days afterwards. What should I do? Try and wait it out or try and find an oral surgeron? Wisdom teeth suck.

I found that the wisdom teeth were the least painful of teeth to be pulled...as they have a much shorter root than regular molars....but I guess it really depends on their position....I only had a day off to get them removed and recovery time was almost nothing.....but I have heard of other people having problems with talking, pain etc after having them removed....but I may have been lucky.

The one thing I would nt do is wait...go get them seen to immediately as they can put pressure on your other teeth and the positioning of them and cause further problems down the line

OMG! I feel your pain! I am experiencing the same dilemma!! I have waited way too long cause I dont want to deal with the pain after wards.but like the girl answered above, my other teeth have cracked and actually fallen out due to the intense pressure!!

There obviously isn't enough room in your mouth for your wisdom teeth so I REALLY suggest getting them out now!!!
Trust me the pain only will get worse.
The pain wakes me up every 3 hrs at night, and every 3 hrs. I'm having to take Ibuprofen 800's just to go back to sleep!

So Please just get yours pulled now!. lol!

ya wisdom teeth suck a lot. i waited way to long to get mine pulled and once they came in all the way several of my other teeth broke under the pressure from my wisdom teeth. and i know from personal experience, get this taken care of now. it will save you a lot of pain and money in the future.
