Best place to party in Australia?

I'm from Las Vegas and headed down to Sydney with my basketball team and want to know where the best places are to go there or any other cities in Australia.

While the Irish Club in Mt Isa is a great place to party, it is a little out of the way if you are going to Sydney. Try What's on in Sydney at http://www.whatsoninsydney.com.au

If you are looking for nightlife, pick up the free papers in any city or close-to-city pub for gig guides, bars, clubs etc.
