Yes, but in a different way. The standard is a 4 oz. glass of wine = 1 shot of liquor. However, the bubbles in the champagne accelerates the buzz/drunkeness. So 1 glass of champagne has more of an effect than 1 glass of still wine. But still the same alcoholic content.

Every drink has the same amount be it a shot of a spirit a regular bottle of beer, a glass of wine etc. they are all the same becuase every drink has it's normal serving sizing and
alcohol per volume basis they are all equal. Saying that though consider 12oz of beer is equal to 1oz of hard liquor
you can figure out that hard liquor is going to get you drunk alot quicker. Same with 6oz wine is still less then a 12oz beer so you would have to drink two glasses to equal the amountof one beer so wine will get you drunk twice as fast as beer because you have to drink half as much to equal the same alcohol content.

Really so if you are trying to get drunk skip the champagne and go for the shot.

Skip the champagne and do the shot. The shot will taste so much better and will feel better too. The champagne eventually loses its fizz in your stomach and becomes vinegar. Would you rather drink vinegar or the shot? The choice is clear so make the right decision. Good times!!!
