My mom makes me wear a jacket when it's horribly warm, makes me wear something that looks horribly ridiculous, and every time I try to object, she makes sounds like it's necessary! I really don't know what to do! This problem has lasted for the previous few months. Please help me! Also, tell me how you resolved your problems, if you had one similar to mine.

The attitude of your mom shows that she loves you very much. It also shows that she is of the opinion that you are very attractive,Due to her love for you ,she is overprotective. She will suggest such dress for you to put on which will reduce your attractiveness. She might have noticed your growing beauty a few months earlier and has started taking precautions to protect you from others attraction. She is doing it out of love for you and you should view it from this angle.

How old are you?
Sounds like she is clutching at continuing your childhood for as long as she can.
Just learn to tell her that you appreciate her concern, but you know when it is appropriate to wear a jacket or not, and please do not attempt to force it on you. Be polite but firm.
Get a part-time job and buy your own clothes if you have to.

In the off-chance that she might have an imbalance of some sort going on, you should try to find her doctor's phone number, talk to him, and see if he can have his staff contact her to come in for an appointment for a little evaluation... review any medications she is on, check her blood (blood sugar or hormones can cause odd behavior), and perhaps refer her to another doctor.

Your mother is doing her job raising you to know how to get along in this world. Cooperate with her and you will show her that you are becoming mature. You will get more privileges when you cooperate. Someday you will be raising a child and will appreciate what a good mother you had.

Well first off, you need to state your rights as an individual. You need to live for yourself, not for your mother. Just let her know that you can take care of yourself.
