Many many Citizens of the United States have no bad feelings about Mexican Citizens. And many enjoy tourism back and forth between countries.

But when a citizen of one country wants to move or gain employment in another country - there are Visa and Immigration laws that are to be followed.

I would be the first person to say to Mexican Citizens that are tired of not having good paying jobs in Mexico - to stand up and vote for a difference - build better education programs, improve community infrastructure.

I've been to rural Mexico many times and it is night and day different than rural United States.

One thing to understand is that while the country of Mexico borders the United States - and there are many trade and friendly ties between the countries - there are more than 1billion people in this world who ALSO want to come to the United States for work and a happy future.

Why should people from Mexico be allowed different status than people from China, Vietnam, Argentina, Peru, Namibia, Tanzania, Sudan, Czech Republic, Armenia, Iraq, India, or even more prosperous countries like Australia or Dubai.

The media is making more of the whole Mexican Illegal Immigrant issue - when in fact there are just as many illegal people in the US from other countries.

If everyone who wanted to come to the US were able to just walk in - this country would double in size within a few weeks. And many will have college degrees and professional skills.

So - I say to you - while I hate the way the Media is portraying Mexican citizens that are in the US - I truely believe that Mexico as a country could improve their own quality of life in Mexico - and less people would want or need to come to the US for work or a happy life.

Just think if 20% of the people with 1st or 2nd generation Mexican Heritage that are living in the United States - were to return to Mexico - the entire country's education level would increase, the entrepreneurial opportunity would grow and the politics would become less unethical (yes I know for a fact that public workers are taking bribes again now that Fox is no longer President)

Even if these people would just push their "old country" into improvements the entire issue of Mexico vs US would slowly become better.

The question is - Can Mexico improve the quality of life for its citizens - enough to keep people from leaving?

What many people do not understand is this Columbus never ever set foot on what became today the USA.

Plus we as american wanting everything as cheap as we can get it have all contributed to the need to cheap labor. If you think you havent then look in your kitchen do you have fresh fruit and vegatables? If you do then I would say that 80% of them were picked by Illegal immagrants working the crop fields in the midwest and the fields in California. We could have prison inmates out doing this work or regular americans out doing this work but it is not good enough even for convicted felons in the USA. So the next time you want to spout off abotu Illegals and how we need to get rid of them think about how much it would cost if there was not a large and cheap labor foce doing these jobs for us. Do you want to pay $50 a pound for apples or $75 for each watermellon? I sure the hell don't. Do I know how to stop it no, do I want it stoped yes but I know it will never stop as long as there is a need for cheap labor. Tell me if you get the same quality of job for say mowing your lawn but you can pay a american $100 for the job but here comes Calos and his buddies that will do just as good a job as Fred but only charge you $35 who are you going to use? Of corse you are going to go with Carlos and his buddies weather they are legal or not.

Yes, and your way off comparing him to the illegals of today! Do you think he came over here looking for welfare? He just happened to find the place! You and your crowd know where it's at! At some point your going to loss on this issue because the American people are going to take a hand in it, and force the politicians to make laws and enforce them!!! I know that because this problem is going to be the main issue in the 2008 elections!
It will happen right before or right after the elections!
Have a nice ride on your way back!!!
And Happy Holidays!

Let's stop just stop the illegals from entering the country, legal entry only, legal permission only for those already here and provide a quick exit for anyone wishing not to comply. I will load and drive the first bus.

The indians lived in the imperial days and we CONQUERED them, we didnt sneak in illegally. Then we were illegals on English soil and we kicked their asses out of here, so If we COULD put ourselves in similar shoes, we would probably destroy every illegal who even thought of crossing the line. That would be enough deterrent and it would end.

I like going to Mexico, but I do so legally and I make damned sure I dont mess up. Anyone ever hear about what happens when you do? Its true, I have seen it. I dont have any problem with anyone legal, visiting, working, watching opra, whatever coming to America either.

The american indians lost control of the continent due to armed conflict. It wasnt fair, but thats how it was back then. As far as Chris Columbus being an Illegal, american indians had no concept of land ownership so there were no immigration laws. So your argument is fallacious. The fact is that in the modern world immigration laws are necessary to protect societies from mass migrations of undesirable social elements (read criminals and indigents) from other societies that would facilitate their migration to eliminate their own domestic problems. Why should our society have to suffer the economic burden of dealing with the cast offs of others nations such as mexico?

Sure. I wish he was directing the rest of the Harry Potter films, but i guess he didn;t want to go stale or get trapped into a certain genre.

Oh, not that Chris Columbus.

The effect of Christopher Columbus and the Spanish and Portguese conquistadors on the indigenous populations of the Americas demonstrate forcefully what happens to existing civilizations when there is unchecked immigration. The transformation can be enormous and the effect malign.

There were no Laws back then thus no illegal immigrants.

Read a history book and you will see this.

I suppose since "you" think this country was founded by illegals,(which is wasn't') we should just let them take over and ruin it.
Very patriotic of you.
btw, Native Americans were immigrants too, where does it end.

Gimme a break. Does this question even deserve an answer? We have laws. What is wrong with wanting people to respect the law? I have no problem with people who come to America legaly. Also, I have friends that are from Mexico and Venesuala and they are more angry than anyone else I know because they and their families did it the right way.
