First of all fleas are more then just on your dog they are also a environmental problem..b/c of this it'll take 3-4 months to get rid of them/ start to notice a difference. Sprays aren't very usefull b/c the larva and pupa of fleas bury themselves very deep into teh floor..they will go in under the wood, so to amke teh spray work you'd have to spray every inch of teh house. and even then it still might not full work. Baths work only on adult fleas on your dog at that moment.
The bets solution is getting med from teh vet.. there are three options. Advantage: This kills the adult fleas.. program: this makes it so eggs can not hatch..and then revolution this kills more then just fleas it also helps in with prevention of ticks, mites and other parasites.
I suggest talking over with your vet as to which med is right for your dogs..and lastly all animals must be treated! Fleas feed on the blood of an animal which is how the meds are given to them to kill them so if only one dog is treated tehy still can feed on the other.

What you need to do is take all of your pets out of the house and set off bug bombs that say they will kill fleas. Then while you are out waiting for the bug bombs to finish deflea your animals. Advantage, frontline, revolution. Some kind of flea medication from a vet. You will probably need to deworm them also because they can get tapeworms from fleas and chances are if you flea problem is that bad then they have worms also. The flea treatment should be dome monthly

to get the fleas off your dogs rite away buy some Skin So Soft from any avon dealer, take your dogs outside away from your house and rub the dogs down starting at the head to tail with the oil. Make shure it is the original formula (oil) and not the scented lotion. With in a few minutes the fleas will start jumping off the dogs. You will have to keep reapling it every few days to a week depending on how mad the infestation is but it will keep most off your dogs.
put cedar in their dog beds if they are the stuffable beds and buy a flea controll spray at a tractor or feed store (not fogger they do more harm then good) and together it should keep them buggers at bay.
For all who gave me a low rating because of the Skin So Soft, it is far more safer to use then any flea soaps or skin drops. The animal does not have to be a certian age for this to be used, and there is no known reports of this killing a animal or having any side effects where as other flea medications hold such risks.

Dont get all crazy with some expensive stuff, like frontline or what ever shampoo there is, or collars or drops, do what i do it saves time and money and last way much longer and does a better job or preventing infestation, go to walmart and by there 5% sevin dust and dust your dogs, ever since i started using this, every once in a while will i see my dog scratch, about your carpet dust that also and leave it for a couple of hours, this will help, spraying pesticides on carpet is most affective when it is wet, and has little or no effect when dryed up, sevin dust is what the pest control brought over he dusted all my carpets and my dogs, he siad dont vaccum it for a few hours this will kill any fleas mites chiggers that may be nesting in the carpet, have done this ever since never had another problem and my dogs are happy
hope it helps.

Flea bath! Then FrontLine Flea and Tick treatment. Make sure you bathe them in the flea shampoo, and then get your house bombed, so once you get the fleas off with the shampoo, the don't get back on them. Good luck! This happened with my dogs too. We had to call this exterminator person, and he got rid of the flea. Hope this helped! :)

Yes you can get rid of them completely, you just have to use the right stuff, i.e NOTHING from a pet store. Get Frontline, Advantage, Revolution or Advocate from a vets. Wait 48 hours after bathing the animal before applying or it won't work. Make sure it gets on the skin. You may also have to get a house spray

this whole thing surrounding fleas and flea powder and spray and flea dips and all these poisons that we just so absent mindlessly douse our dogs with is so totally insane
these products say right on them, don't get this on your hands etc, etc, but we just put them on our dogs -- would you want to take a bath in some of this stuff
if you work on getting your dogs immune system up, good food, some supplements ..etc .. fleas will not find them attractive to get on in the first place
