They kill god in the third book. The movie only covers the first book. I can't wait till they actually get to the good stuff.

Well having just watched the movie the people criticizing it obviously never saw it. People will forget the message once they realize that this is a really terrible movie. Some of the underlying tone of the movie I liked but everything else blew.

The movie was "alright" and Kidman could have done a much better job. The female child lead was really talented, though.
Oh, and the book series upon which this movie and it's 2 future sequels are based ends with "God being killed".

It's terrible. And it's getting so much attention than it deserves because Christians are talking about it. Really, the third book won't even be made into a movie (the one where God is killed) because no one will ever greenlight a sequel.

Atheists hate this movie because it deals with god. That's what people should be saying but the christians have to be mad about everything.

Whats wrong with it is no one is interested in it so you atheists keep making up stories of how Christians are campaigning against the movie, which isn't happening on any large scale, and you are failing in your attempt to draw attention to the movie and that is why it only received moderate attention in the box office.
