I HAVE TWO PIT'S 7YRS AND 1 YR,IF YOUR GOING TO LEAVE HIM OUTSIDE YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT HE HAS PLENTY OF WARM BLANKETS,A TORN BLANKET IS A WARM BLANKET.YES THEY HAVE THEIR COATS BUT THERE SHORT COATS,DURING THESE TEMP I WOULD SAY BRING HIM IN ESPECIALY IF HES ALONE.BUY SOME WEE WEE PADS SO IF HE HAS TO GO PEE OR POOP HE WILL LEARN TO GO ON THE PADS AND THEY WILL ALSO HELP SET A POOP AREA OUTSIDE WITH HIM, SET THE PADS WERE YOU WANT HIM TO GO HE'LL PICK IT UP. THE BEST THING YOU CAN SERIOUSLY DO IS BUY A BOOK ON PITT BULLS AT PETCO OR WERE YOU GO,IT WILL MAKE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM 100 TIMES BETTER. ...BUY THE BOOK

Um what wrong with you people? That pup needs more than to just be inside he needs to get to a vet NOW!!!! A normal dogs tempeture is from 100 to 102 degrees. Even higher for a puppy. He's way below his normal vitals and could be suffering from hyperthermia. You need to get some sense into your husbands head this is no time of year for any animal to be outdoors. Poor puppy. This is so sick. Please get pup to a vet or you will be waking up to a frozen pit in the morning.
I could just imagine how the pup feels I took my pit out for a walk eairler and even though he had on his hoodie he was still shivering.

This bring back memory's of when I was a kid and we talked my dad into getting a puppy. He said he would have to stay in the garage. It was late in the year that we got him. He was in the garage in a big box with lots of blankets to keep him warm. Turned out my dad was not so tough. He was the one that said it is too cold out for the puppy. He said we could let him stay in the house for the winter. The dog never spent another night outside. He slept in my dads chair in the livening room from then on.
What you are doing with you pup is not letting him be part of the pack, he is an outsider and will not be a really great dog. Pits are so people friendly and want to be with you.
I have a big pack, a Chi/Rat terrier, a beagle and two ABPTs. They all sleep on my bed with me. I am not saying he has to sleep on your bed, but get a bed so he can sleep in the same room. Make him part of your family. If you do let him sleep on your bed you will find that his body temperature of 101 degrees will keep you warm. I am very warm every night.
Love your Pit and he will love you forever, they are one of the greatest dogs.

Inside - now!!!
He's a puppy, why in the world would you even get a dog if you do not want it with you?
It cannot be socialized if you keep it outside, even if it were warm.

You are going to have an aggressive, unsocialized, unhappy and neurotic dog if you just leave it outside like that - the pup needs to be with you as part of your family.

Again - why would you get a dog just to lock it out???

If you dont know this answer you shouldnt own a puppy. Of course always bring a puppy inside. You are responsible for caring for him because he is unable to care for himself.

Inside!!! Tell your husband the vet bills from the pup getting sick from being outside will cost far more than his pride with letting the pup in.

Hey, pitbullover... the outside temperature is 46... not the pup's!

I think that people who make their dogs stay outside, shouldn't have dogs. It should be illegal to keep dogs (or any other domesticated animal) outside. Dogs and cats are meant to be pets... not 'livestock'!

A puppy should be inside, no matter what. Bring him in!
