$250 fine or community service. That's the minimum. Why would anyone charge you for stealing something like that? It's worthless.

Probably 1 year court probation ( which means that you can't get in trouble for 1 year) and community service. There might also be a couple of hundred dollars of court fees. Try to get a public defender to reduce it from a Misdemeanor to an Infraction, that way if anyone does a criminal background check on you, they will come up with No Record.

No Big deal. Good luck

Well, I was busted for shoplifting in 2003 about $20 worth of items and I went to court to settle and ended up paying the court (instead of going to jail for a day) $500.00. I am in S. California as well. They crack down very hard on stealing in here. Good luck to you.

It depends on the criminal history of the accused. Suspecting that the offender is a minor, most likely community service with classes or scared straight.

juvenile or adult? not much. i mean there's no telling what the statutory max is. it will be less than a year in jail or some kinf of fine or both, but you won't get that. don't worry about it. just be very polite to everyone in court. make sure you realize the seriousness of your actions when they ask. i actually think there is another reason they are hailing you in though.

No penalty for stealing. It's getting caught that will cost you, so steal away.
