If you think there's a lot of gunfire in the U.S., try a visit to Iraq sometime. More gunfire there in a day than an entire year in the U.S.

Or try Afghanistan. Another place where there's lots of gunfire totally separate from any American involvement. Or try Somalia (especially the Darfur region). No Americans there, either. And what about Gaza? No Americans there, but lots of gunfire by extremists killing each other.

Hmmmm, maybe the problem isn't the Americans? Maybe the real problem is the twisted agenda of the American media, making a mountain out of a molehill every time some nutjob pops off a few caps . . .

There are lots of factors. If you look at England before the advent of strict gun laws, you'll see they've always preferred skull-bashing with blunt objects, so it's in large part a cultural phenomenon. Lately, there have been a fair number of mass shootings by people who wanted to get in the news and knew that would do it.

What do you mean by so much gun shooting. Last month was deer season in a lot of states. Oh did you mean at people in the act of a violent crime. Well, again what do you mean by so much?

As a percentage of population?
As a total figure?
As compared to other countries in the world?
Are those only to include countries with no civil strife?

You have a lot of loose ends to tie up. Very thoughtful question.

Because the US has the most elaborate, nosy, & always wanting to show the bad, MEDIA. The same stuff happens in everyone's country; the only difference is that the US has the biggest industry & corporations of media. Same stuff happens everywhere else in the world if not more. We are just in the spot light because other countries also like to see our flaws or just see bad things happen to us.

There is not a lot of gun shooting happening. Or maybe there is, and we don't really notice. Or maybe its because we can own guns.

Because they have no gun policy. U can get gun on every where. But the problem is not only in the guns, the people are the one who are using them. America is closed country, find a statistic of how many American citizens traveled somewhere else than America. School system is bad, education is one of the worst in the world.

Because we have so much racial tension, and not just that, but tension for everything... gays, abortion, women, anything and everything...

It could come down to someone having a better car than you... and if you wanted it badly enough, then you will go to desperate measures...

America is one of the richest countries in the world... however, it is also holder of some of the poorest people in the world...

because we have tons of gangs, also because its a national right to own pistols and shotguns...But we have tons of gun stores in the US. Whereas places in Europe and austrailia don't have gun stores and guns are only police and military allowed in those places. They have no access over there thats why.
