Ambien, usual scrip, ingested by the Rott, looking for rapid suggestions, through experience, not conjecture. Thank you.

He said his rott ate Ambien and he needs advice.

Take your dog to the vet. We don't know how much he took and an overdose can easily kill him. He needs to get this out of his stomach as quickly as possible. The longer it has to digest, the more likely your dog is to die. Call ahead to let them know you're coming and bring the prescription with you.

Uh-duh?! Big red friggin truck. Dog ingests prescription medication that is NOT approved for dogs and has not been prescribed as off-label by a vet= Dog needs to go to VET ASAP!

This is not a DIY project. You should call the vet / poison control and tell them your story and proceed from there. It's very likely that they are going to tell you to rush the dog in, or make him vomit.. But you'll have to call to find out for sure.

Call your vet with the script in hand or better yet drive to a 24h vet emerg, now now now. Better safe then sorry.
