Every time I try to drink, I can barely drink a couple of sips before I feel like barfing all over the place. Is there something physically wrong with my body that causes it to reject the alcohol?

You may be allergic. And just like any other allergy, it gets worse the more times your exposed. My sister is too, and can't even have alcohol wipes before an injection, because it breaks her out into a rash. Needless to say, she doesn't drink.
Nor do I, because like you, very little makes me sick. Its been more than 23 years since my last one, and guess what! You can live a full and happy life without it.

***Never understood the concept that you have to get "used to" such a horrible taste! You wouldn't accept that you had to in any other area of your life would you? You either like it or not, to get used to it just means that you can tolerate the bad taste better!
Many an alcoholic is born that way, it actually makes them sick.

With regard to your health, I would not take advice from anyone on this site. I would seek medical attention as it could be signs of an ulcer, liver condition (cannot clean toxins such as alcohol), colitis etc. Let an MD tell you, not us. I learned I had hepatitis and if I drink, it will be the death of me. So don't be a fool, do something!

No, nothing wrong with you. Many people have to get used to alcohol. I couldn't drink much at all until my late 20's.

That's a good thing actually. Alcohol is a toxin to the body. Count your blessings that you can't stand alcohol. Neither can I.

I got into a lot of trouble drinking, and I envy you. I could drink a twelve pack a night (if not more) and not throw up, just make an *** of myself and be sick and regretful in the morning.

seems such as you have an particularly smart pastor/dad, and an particularly progressive church. And he's sweet: marijuana replaced into placed right here by utilising God for the very purpose of smoking and eating. And, to those who attempt to conceal at the back of "it extremely is unlawful," a minimum of 26 U.S. states have handed Compassionate Use rules allowing those with specific illnesses to apply marijuana. So, in lots of states, NO it is not unlawful! in spite of the techniques of the jackbooted Nazi thugs presently working the DEA. And, considering that your father is a pastor, and is able to impression, he would desire to apply one in all his sermons to speak out against the federal government's merciless and strange punishment of those with scientific illnesses who use marijuana with their state's approval. the two the state's rights would desire to be respected by utilising the federal government all the way, or the federal government needs to abolish all varieties of statehood and take over. yet they are able to't have it the two procedures. You father would desire to rally his congregation with the thought that in case you will smoke pot, then you definately would desire to take political accountability for it, and deliver a sparkling message to the federal government that they are usurping the rights of states to bypass rules that have been licensed by utilising a vote of the individuals. in accordance to a minimum of 26 U.S. states, marijuana isn't unlawful for those with intense wellbeing situations!!!

Just think of it like this...now you won't get drunk and do things that you may regret.
It actually starts out like that with most people with its strong bitter taste but then you get used to it and start to enjoy it.
Just do not go overboard :]
